Even though I had phoned to reserve two rooms, and left my phone number for contact, I was not told that my rooms would be released if we did not arrive by 7pm. So I was disappointed to be told that there was "no room at the inn" for us when we arrived at 9pm..... There is very little option...

My expedition buddy and I unfortunately got in a car accident halfway between El Rosario and Cataviña. The day was getting late as we waited for assistance, and a woman in the other car recommended this hotel where they'd be heading as well. What a welcome sight it was! Between the two parties, we claimed the last three rooms available....

Located right next to the Pemex and Mama Espinoza restaurant. Stayed upstairs in one of the back hotel rooms. Decor very nice. Clean Large room with King Bed. Only downside, heater not capable of heating room. Room was 57 degrees when I checked in, and with heater going all night, never got above 61. Would not stay again alone during...

The hotel is small and quaint. Although it is right on Hwy 1 you do not hear road noise. They have two levels of room economy and standard. Both of which are really affordable. Given a choice go with the standard. The only negative is the dirt parking, and since it has been raining was truly a mud pit. This...

Great rooms at a great price and very short walk to Mama Espinosa's wonderful restaurant too! The ambiance and decor at such a great representation of Mexico. We plan to stay there every time we drive down the 1 to Los Barriles. It is a great experience!!

I have stayed at the Baja Cactus every year for the last 8-10 years. It is always simply grreat! Clean oversized rooms, excellent staff, and good food close by. It is simply the Best Value in Mexico! I cannot recommend it higher!

Clean place for an overnight stop on the way down Baja. Comfortable beds and beautiful tile work in the bathrooms. TV reception from the 50's and all in Spanish but you are in Mexico so that's to be expected. World famous Mama Espinoza's Restaurant is next door.

I am traveling through out Baja California Norte from Tijuana to Guerrero Negro and we did a stop at this hotel to sleep the first night after Tijuana and is great; is clean, hot water and there is heat in the room so is perfect. The front desk service also is good and fast. I would only add a hair...
