We had a wonderful five days at the Main House. They arranged a car for us, and even picked us up at the airport when our flight arrived. They will prepare good meals for you at a reasonable price every day, too. We had all of our breakfasts there, and a wonderful snapper dinner, along with some of the best...

The traditional themed decor of this property is dated and should most definitely be upgraded to reflect a stylish, modern and coastal island chic atmosphere given its location on one of the most beautiful and picturesque islands of the Bahamas.

When you arrive in Matthew Town, it’s nice to have a ride, because there are no taxis on the island. My ride had been prearranged without my knowledge, thanks to the folks at the Main House, who knew I was coming to explore the island. As I waited for the baggage to be offloaded from the Bahamasair flight, a lady...

There are few places on this island to stay, but you come here to enjoy the true Bahamas. Most everything is owned or run by Morton Salt but still it's a nice place. Be prepared to be on island time. There are few places to eat, so let the Guest House know you will need food. On weekends there are...

We have had a good eco-holiday here in Matthew Town with good birding and snorkeling. We have had good service at Morton Main House. Considering what is available on such a remote island this is a keeper. NB!! Just a cautionary note when hiring a vehicle. Do not use Ingraham Rentals (Ingraham's Rent-A-Car Matthew Town), their cars are shockers and...

My buddy and I stopped at the The Main House during a multi-island trip through the Bahamas in our single engine airplane. (9 islands in 6 days) We stayed for one night. The first thing you'll notice when you visit Inagua (besides the beauty) is that it's a company town/island. After we landed and got our plane wrapped up and...

We are two pilots flying in the Caribbean, we had to stay one night at Great Inagua MYIG. Debby the general manager from Morton Main House picked us up ( free of charge ) at the "airport". We loved the accomodation and service, had a great diner ( salmon ) at her hotel / quest house. The people on this...

A fun place to stay--and your only choice, which makes it easy. Used by executives of Morton Salt, this guest house has a few rooms, prepares food, and makes you welcome. Steps from main street--but so is everything. This island is amazingly friendly. People routinely stop their cars to quiz a tourist, because they see so few. The beaches are...
