This is a great place to Stop on the way to Alaska! It was a great rest after a long drive . The room was very clean, and it was near Destruction Bay , a very beautiful area. It was also a great place to fuel up as well. The rates were also very reasonable!

Destruction Bay is mid-way between Haines and Tok, Alaska, so it's our preferred stopping point when we use the Alaska Ferry at Haines. Talbot Arms has clean spacious rooms, restaurant, gas, Wi-Fi, coin-op laundry, and a lounge. Staff were all friendly and welcoming to us. There's not much for a hundred miles in either direction, so we're very happy to...

I've stayed at the Talbot Arm at least half-a-dozen times now on annual trips up and down the Alaska Highway. It may look basic from the outside, but the rooms are large, clean, and comfortable, with laminate floors and very hot water. There is very little noise transmission between rooms, though that may be because everyone crashes early after a...

As the only place in Destruction Bay it could be really bad - but it's not!! The rooms are clean, carpet-free floor in our room (we had a dog), good view of Kluane Lake, staff in the diningroom and bar were very friendly. You probably need to make a reservation as there is no place else to stay and it's...

Stayed here on our trip through to Anchorage, simple but good and clean. This was our first stop over after coming off the ferry. Had the best blueberry filled hotcake ever for breakfast. Dinner here was also great. Well priced friendly people.

Even though, as others have pointed out, this is pretty much the only choice for quite some distance, it is a rather nice place to stay. Clean modern rooms plus fuel, restaurant, and a nice view of the lake across the road.

Staff was very friendly. An excellent place to stop on the way to Fairbanks. Wifi is good but limited, 200mb/device. They have a gas station, diner, and a bar. The rooms were big and the bed was great. One of my best stops on my road trip, especially through Canada.

The motel is what I would expect from a road side motel in the middle of nowhere. The lake is beautiful and I can see great potential, but the location is just so far out. The motel does provide wifi, and the rooms are large. The bed was not very comfortable, and only one pillow per person. My recommendation is...

Room was clean, beds were hard. No air conditioning and could not leave the window open because people were smoking right outside the door. Even if they weren't it is really dusty there. We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. It was ok, but servings were skimpy. Staff was very nice, but service was poor.
