We spent two nights in this lovely BB. It is located in a quiet street at walking distance from the main attractions in La Malbaie. The house is cosy, with a very nice and big garden. It is an old house, full of antiques. Of course, also the bathrooms are old, but this is fully compensated by the atmosphere and... More

We were there for 5 days and had the unit with the private bathroom. Although we did not spend much time around the B & B, we found it very relaxing as they have nice gardens to wander around in. The breakfast was well presented and sufficient enough that we skipped lunch while out and about. The home-made jams were... More

It was our 7th visit to this B & B in 15 years and the owners, Helene and Frank, made us feel at home as usual. We always reserve the same room. The house is charming, full of antiques, very clean....the gardens are beautiful with flowers everywhere you look. The breakfast is very good. We usually go there just to... More

We received a VERY warm welcome arriving at Harrop's. The owners, Frank and Helene, were there to greet us and get us settled in. I felt that I was saying goodbye to old friends when we left and we were there for only 2 days! The house is large with lots of space. The rooms were large and clean and... More

This gite is a lovely former sea captains home with original details. It is located within walking distance of the Casino at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and much more economical. If you stay here, you can easily walk to the little cafes along rue Richelieu or down along the waterfront. You can walk to the Casino, and dine at... More

After having stayed at some wonderful B & Bs, my husband and I came away from this experience feeling rather disappointed. From a positive viewpoint, the B & B is in an excellent location: on the river, close to the Fairmont & Casino, with lovely restaurants nearby, and the North American style breakfast was good. However, the house itself &... More

On a calm, sunny autumn morning we arrived in La Malbaie, home of a dear friend and also a place of beauty and adventure. We stayed at Frank Harrop's welcoming bed and breakfast "Gite Harrop's". We were offered a beautiful room overlooking the secluded rear garden and soaked in the atmosphere and peace and tranquility. Breakfast was accompanied by our... More
