We stayed here in our small RV on September 17th . The price is right and the view is spectacular. Washrooms are nice and clean. The only drawback is the proximity of the fog horn. It t was very foggy and the horn blew all night. I got woken-up several times but I always managed to go back to sleep....

We stayed in Cabin #2 for 2 nights. You need to bring your own bed linens, pillows and towels as none are provided. It has a microwave, refrigerator, table with 4 chairs, 2 beds Queen size with 2 thin mattresses on each bed and a fireplace looking type of heater that throws out a lot of heat. The bed was...

Great view, cool place. Really relax. See whales and other marine animals. We used to have a tent, then a trailer-tent and we always liked to be near the river and see the whales when we wake right out our window. We upgraded to a 24-foot Class C recreational vehicle and we couldn't get too close (as those sites are...

"Wow", that's the first word that come to mind when I think of Paradis Marin (marine paradise). Spent 3 days there and we saw whales from our picnic table at every dinner and we were not even close to the shore. After a 5 min walk to the rocky shore, the whales are just too close! I have a 400mm...

I wanted to take up kayaking looking at the dozens of active kayakers on the calm river. We enjoyed the action while sitting on our folding chairs on the rock outcrop on the calm river. We even saw a whale and seals from the shore. There are many spacious tent camping sites for non-kayakers away from the river. The bath...

We went kayaking with a tour from Paradis Marin and had a great time. We weren't sure what to expect because we had never kayaked before but it was a lot of fun. The tour was from 4-7 pm and includes a safety demo and a bit of instruction before you leave. Our guide Patrick checked on us often to...

This is a very well run operation - the staff are super helpful, the sites clean and the bathrooms kept in good condition. It is a big site with some site near the water and others stretching up into the woods. Despite the size, it is pretty peaceful. They clearly cater to kayakers with racks for storage and a hosing...

We spent 3 days here in early August; after a very windy day, we were enchanted by a beluga feeding festival that lasted over 1.5 hours. There were white pods all over the horizon; fantastic whale watching experience. There is much krill here, due to the sharp drop off to a 300 meter depth just opposite the campground. So sightings...

A unique campground next to one of the greatest whale observation spots that I know of or have heard of. A destination of choice for any kayak and/or Westfalia owners (don't ask me why), this is still a great destination for whale-loving landlubers. Popular spot for scuba-divers also. Whoever you are, bring your camera with you! The whales are so...
