As I am not into fishing, I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to Crane's Lochaven Wilderness Lodge. I was blown away with the experience I had and I can't wait to return with my family to experience it for longer next time. From the boat rides to explore the islands, the amazing food served by a top... More

Service was superb from the owners, Ed and Sue, to everyone else including the house keepers, waitresses, cook, guides, boat house helpers etc. Fishing was fantastic. Caught every species imaginable, smallmouth, largemouth, pike, walleye, perch, rock bass, pumpkin seed, catfish, golden bonefish (carp), no musky (but not targeting). First visit but sure to return. Can't miss with Crane's.

My friend and I wanted to get away for a few days. It seemed a bit pricey, but it included lots of things, so we booked and drove up northern Ontario. What a great bunch of people; friendly, happy and considerate. We didn't have to lift a finger...my kind of vacation! The cabins are very rustic and roomy. The food... More

We were looking for a great family vacation stay at a Canadian fishing resort with our 8 year old twins and we found it here! From the moment you step foot on the dock you are treated like family. Matt was an excellent fishing guide and worked his tail off to give our family the best fishing experience! Having a... More

I visited Crane's for a few short days in early July with my daughter and my 3 year old grandson. It was my 6th trip and still absolutely fantastic. The staff took excellent care of us - especially the 3 year old. Fishing was good and the weather cooperated by giving us a nice, heavy shower at night. Food was... More

First time at Crane's and it won't be my last. Over the years I have stayed at many fishing lodges but none compares to this one. From the minute you arrive at the lodge Ed and Sue ensure your needs are met then surpassed. This starts with delivery of your luggage to your cottage and pickup when you leave. Sue... More

My husband and I recently visited Crane's. We were impressed with the whole experience. The owners greeted us at the dock upon arrival and made us feel very welcome. The owners and staff treated us like family and were willing to accommodate us any way possible! Everything was included in our stay making packing easy and light. Every cabin had... More

Have been to Cranes several times. Amazing owners and workers and beautiful island and river. This place has it all! The food is amazing, the cabins are comfortable and the fishing is very good. Make sure you get a guide early in the week if you've never been there before. It will help you learn the river more quickly! Can't... More
