My partner and I booked The Hillcrest Hall Country Inn as our last stop on a four-day tour of the Cabot Trail around Cape Breton. We had a wonderful stay in one of their comfortable queen-sized bed rooms. As soon as we arrived, we asked the woman at the front desk to recommend a place where we might enjoy the...

Elegant older inn that welcomed us after a rainy afternoon of driving the Cabot Trail. The inn was a little daunting in appreance from the road sitting 3 stories high. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and offered us coffee to help warm us up. Our room was on the second floor and was very spacious. There are rooms...

My wife and I enjoyed Teri nights in this old buy nice Inn. It looks right out on the bay. The breakfast was a wide variety and high quality of fruits, juices, muffins. Pastries, eggs, etc. The room was basic but adequate. Nice remodeled Bathroom. Very nice owner and family.

Nice and clean and simply decorated in an old home. Comfortable with at least one suite. Breakfast is simple w breads, muffins, hard boiled eggs, cold cereal, yogurt and oat meal packets. All in all a good simple inexpensive place to stop for the night. There is really nothing in the small town w about two decent restaurant choices. If...

The setting is beautiful. There are chairs on the lawn, and on the porch which invites you to sit and relax. The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. We were on the 3rd floor, which isn't a problem for us, but ask if you have problems navigating stairs. The breakfast was very good- muffins, scones, boiled eggs,...

A nice B &B in a good location. Very clean, nice gardens and comfortable rooms. Continental breakfast included. A friendly welcome from the owner who recommended places to eat locally. Would definitely recommend for easy access to the Cabot Trail.

We stayed at the Hillcrest Hall Country Inn for one night. It was located across the street from the water with a beautiful view from the large porch. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated and clean. We were warmly welcomed and recommend a good restaurant for supper which was very close with live music. The breakfast was good and we would...

The inn is beautifully restored. We had a first-floor room that was very spacious and comfortable. Air-conditioning was good as it was a hot day. Hardwood floors do mean that you hear the people above you in the mornings. Breakfast was quite average, mostly carbohydrates. Nondescript muffins, toast. Only hot item was boiled eggs. Staff were quite friendly. Would stay...

We ventured to Port Hood while travelling the Cabot trail, and stayed at the Inn for one night. Check in was easy and the building and room were quite beautiful. The breakfast room is very nice, although for such a nice place there really should be a hot breakfast (as opposed to the continental). Overall, a nice stay.
