My first experience at a B&B, Ester and Allen made it very enjoyable, their hospitality and hudge breakfast was amazing. helped us plan our evening out. Lovely older home. Very clean with a spacious private bathroom in each room. The shortbread cookies for the road were a wonderful treat! Loved Ester's sense of fun!!

We stayed here one night while travelling the Cabot Trail. The hosts were amazing!! The room was very comfortable and I loved every second of the hydrotherapy bathtub! We ate way too many of the treats Allan and Esther left out (oatmeal cookies, shortbread, muffins, etc) and the breakfast in the morning was great. They created a really warm atmosphere...

We stayed at the Glendyer Inn on the first of a three-day tour of Cape Breton. We arrived early in the evening expecting to take a little while to plan our evening. But Esther and Alan already had the complete list of all evening events in the area (music, dancing) and were eager to help with recommendations! The room was...

Don't miss the community of Mabou and the accommodations at the Inn at Glendyer if you are travelling the Cabot Trail. Esther and Allan were the perfect hosts and our room was perfect (as a mother and son we had a bedroom with a side room that had a single bed and tv plus our own spectacular bathroom. Breakfast consisted...

The Finlays are some of the most gracious and interesting B&B hosts we've ever met. They alone rate an A+. Add the pretty, comfortable lodging in their historic home (be sure to read all about it in their in-house literature) and one of the best B&B breakfasts we've ever had and your stay will be a win-win in every way.

First of all, apologies for such a late review; we travelled NS and stayed here in September and this review fell through the cracks of all the back to work to-do lists. I can't add much to any of the superlatives mentioned. I would travel NS and Cape Breton again without hesitation and I would love to stay here for...

Great location, great homemade breakfasts with scrumptious lemon poppyseed/blueberry pancakes , berries, and condiments. As a non egg eater, the free range duck and chicken eggs, were also superb. The best thing about our three day stay were the hosts,Esther and Alan. This was our second stay and we will return.

A great B&B with extremely friendly owners. The rooms are cozy, well kept and comfortable. The breakfast was great and as requested. The Inn is a bit hard to find but if you follow their instructions its no problem (trust the directions - it is down a dark dirt road).

This is an older house in a somewhat remote, wooded area next to a beautiful little stream. Our upstairs room was spacious, clean, and with all the amenities we needed. The bed must have been comfortable because we slept so soundly! The Inn was full but we never heard the sounds of the other guests in their rooms. Sipping a...
