This was our first trip to Nova Scotia, and we had no idea where to stay after driving the Cabot Trail. McIntyre's was great! The views of Lake Bras D'Or are wonderful. The cottage was clean and the fireplace was an added bonus, especially in late October! If we ver get back to Cape Breton, this is where we will stay.... More

I would highly reccommend staying at the McIntyre Cottages if you plan on spending time anywhere in that area. Our purpose was to hike a few trails (amazing in itself), but whatever your purpose the location and view alone make these accommodations worthwhile. You cannot see them from the road, as they are set up on a hill, giving them... More

The cottages are clean and the property is well maintained. The view of the lake is beautiful except for one big tree that blocks some of the view. I loved the cabin..it had everything your average home would have. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very nice folks and were very helpful. I would highly recommend these cottages... Stayed here for one night on our way back to NL. We were very pleased with the cabin (#8). It was clean and really nicely decorated. Everything we needed was there (even board games). One bedroom had a queen bed and the other 2 twins plus there is a foldout in the living room. We had a great view. Cabins... More

We stayed in Cottage 8. We were very happy with the stay. Cottage 8 had 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, air conditioning, a small kitchen (a couple of burners, toaster oven, microwave, small fridge). We had a great view out to the lake. It was very conveniently located (maybe 5 minutes to the main street in Baddeck. The owners were very... More

My husband and I just got back last night from a 4 night getaway to celebrate our 20th anniversary. The moment we walked into cottage #4, we knew we had made the right choice. It was beautifully decorated and well furnished with everything we could need. We had a three burner stove with an oven. The under the counter fridge... More

So we rented this cottage for Celtic Colors to take in the festivities and colors as Baddeck seemed pretty central and it was. We arrived on the Friday night and the cottage was already open so we brought our stuff in and were happy from the moment we walked in the door. It is not a big place but not... More

We stayed in cottage 3 which had 2 double beds. Easy to find - right off the main road up the drive. Had great panoramic window with a view over to the lake. Saw a hummingbird on the first morning. Couldn't hear the noise of the main road below. The cottage was well furnished with lovely colours and the kitchen... More

We stayed at cottage #8 on the September long weekend 2015. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. We have found in our travels that not a lot of places really want kids but McIntyres seems very open to families. They have a small play ground and the grounds are designed well so the kids can play. We... More

We were looking for a cottage with a kitchen in Baddeck with late a booking and came upon McIntyre's. Unsure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised at first. Before we arrived we asked if we had an oven and our own grill, the answer was yes, but the truth was no. (Our cabin was #6.) We quickly found the... More

Hello Connie, I have just seen the review of your stay at our cottages. Let me say how sorry I am that you did not have a good experience. I was away for the days you were here, and although I was filled in on my return, about your neighbours, the focus was on how messy they had left the... More
