Rooms have fireplaces and French country inn ambiance. Very pleasant, and all the staff were helpful. Location is walking distance for other "pubs," shops, and historical sites. Nice dining room on premises.

This was a surprise. Each room is decorated beautifully with amenities dating from the Victoria era. Drapes around the bed, fireplace, beautiful matching wallpaper. Comfortable wing-back chairs in front of tall windows or fireplace makes you want to put your feet up and get comfortable for awhile. Keeping with the theme you won't find a microwave or fridge here. But...

We arrived in Baddeck and happened to drive by this beautiful country inn. Booked a room and went out for a great lobster dinner. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and green with colorful flowers. They have an on-site restaurant but we chose one in town. The room was spacious and well furnished with an extremely comfortable bed and...

No microwave or fridge in the room & could not get internet. Had to go down to their meeting room in a different building to get internet. But the staff was very friendly & they actually entertained us in the meeting room with a little jam session that was very entertaining & they actually had a small bar there also,...

The location of this hotel is within walking distance of the city of Baddeck. Nice hotel but no refrigerator or microwave in rooms. Nightlight in bathroom is very nice and welcoming. Good, caring staff. Recommend going elsewhere for meals as restaurant has good staff (Bonni, Kathy) but food is not good.

Dated not quaint. Rooms clean and comfortable enough, but very small. One is held hostage by location. A restaurant with fine dining prices, menu, and robotic staff. Front desk serves as entrance to restaurant. Very unpleasant mature woman appeared to be annoyed we wanted dinner. We sat for 10 minutes with no acknowledgment from servers quickly passing by ignoring us....

Nice rooms with fireplace . Clean and quaint. Nice view of the water. Staff helpful and friendly. Internet was weak if you could get at all. Was a nice media room in the main building where you could access internet. Quick walk to town. Restaurant was good.

After staying in a tired motel in another part of Cape Breton Island, Gisele's was a welcomed relief. Clean, friendly. The only demerit is that the internet is weak to nonexistent. Otherwise, it would be a 5.

The location is very convenient to the town of Baddeck. The decorating in the rooms is quaint, a touch dated. They are still using bedspreads instead of duvets, which we prefer. But the staff were very friendly and the restaurant served excellent food. The blueberry pancakes are a must try! No refrigerators in the rooms.
