From the moment you leave the wharf to head over to the island, you realize just how unique and beautiful Newfoundland is -- our experience was heightened by the welcome from a whale while on route to the island. The people of Quirpon are warm and authentic. Food was delicious, service was outstanding -- you quickly feel like family. Trekking...

We had the most amazing time. Met some lovely people and have some fabulous family memories that our children are still talking about a year later. We really couldn't fault this place. Delicious food, comfortable beds and the most genuine hospitality. Great walks, beautiful sunsets, whale watching, iceberg sightings the list could go on. Perfect family time in a part...

There are actually no words to describe our stay at Quirpon Lighthouse Inn. The hospitality was incredibly hearty, the meals delicious, the rooms quaint and our outdoors experience simply extraordinarily beautiful!! We got to see so many whales from so close and Ed even took us for a extended Zodiac tour back to the harbour. Definitely worth the somewhat high...

We recently extended our spring season, escaping the heat and humidity of home, to visit the Quirpon (say: car-poon) Lighthouse Inn at the far northern tip of Newfoundland. I have to rate this property as excellent because of the unique experiences we had here, not available elsewhere, especially the chance to see icebergs and humpback whales at very close proximity....

This was our 3rd visit to Quirpon Lighthouse Inn, a magnificent location worthy of 3 nights. It's a bit expensive and worth every penny. First.....it's not easy to get there, but that's part of the allure. You have to really want to do it in order make it there. If flying into St. John's, there's no farther location on the...

We love the remote aspect of staying on Quirpon Island and our hike to the Inn was manageable and invigorating. Our weather was cold, somewhat wet and overcast and yet this provided an experience of a different kind. We saw several icebergs, and sea birds, some seals too. The meals satisfying and the community of guests - about 12 in...

The Quirpon Lighthouse Inn is a converted lighthouse keeper's house on the north end of Quirpon Island. Access is via zodiac or zodiac and hike from the Quirpon wharf on the mainland. It is a very rugged site, and probably not appropriate for individuals with mobility problems. The scenery is stark, rugged and mind-blowing. The Inn is at the top...

Everything was beyond incredible. It is a long drive from Corner Brook, but well worth it. We were met on time by Angus the zodiac skipper. ON our ride to Quirpon Island we saw whales near the boat. Our accommodation, in the main house was great. Three ladies make very nice meals. Fresh baked bread daily! On our second day...

Went as part of a trip to Newfoundland over the summer. Wonderful place! Though it is a bit rustic, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The let us into the kitchen to show us how they cooked things, they'd make changes in the menu, they;d give you advice on hiking trails… The island itself is stunning. The inn is...
