The room is secondary. We have been here twice and the rooms are basic, clean and comfortable. But you will only sleep there. The interesting places are the dining room, the living room and outdoors. Go for a hike; watch the whales and icebergs until you get bored; chat with the interesting guests from all over the world that have...

Stayed for two nights in September 2016. This is a unique experience. We loved it, but it's not for everyone - you should definitely skim the reviews before booking as it's pretty expensive and a serious pain to get to - make sure you know what you are getting yourself into! The owner (Ed) bought the island and it's buildings...

We were so lucky that the sun was shining on this visit. It was windy so we had to be boated to the cove side of the island and then either hike or be ATV'd to the lighthouse. We chose to hike the 5 km trail. It seemed like a lot more distance as it is up and down and...

From beginning to end, the lighthouse experience was amazing. From the boat ride to the island, the hike to the inn, the good food, the whales, foxes, and birds, the company, to the comfortable beds, we (a family of four) loved every minute of it! What a beautiful location. We hope to come here again someday and stay longer than...

Just amazing. I stayed in the main house (really two connected houses) while most of my group stayed in the secondary house. Both were great experiences. Food was great, the views are so amazing. Windy, breathtaking, sunny, an active lighthouse, we saw too many whales to count, and even a iceberg in August. Just an amazing trip. The island itself...

Our two night (Too short!!) stay at the Quirpon Lighthouse Inn was unquestionably one of the highlights of our Newfoundland tour. Ed (English) picked us up at the Quirpon Pier with a big smile and drove us in the Zodiac to the Inn. Quirpon Island is a tiny island off the northern tip of Newfoundland. There is nothing on it,...

This island is very natural and isolated from the main island and therefore you will find solitude and peace. The lighthouse is still maintained by the government, but Ed English purchased the lighthouse keepers house and a cottage that have been transformed into accommodations. The accommodations are not luxury, but the environment surrounding the lighthouse area is most definitely luxury...natural...

The Lighthouse Inn is a unique place to stay while in the area, only accessible by zodiac boat. The staff at the Inn are friendly and helpful. The desserts are amazing and the food is good. We stayed in a small room (with a very small closet private bathroom). The bed was very uncomfortable but the setting and people made...

Found this place in the book "Great Canadian Bucket List" and it couldn't have been more accurate. This is a great experience. Working light house, authentic 1920 lighthouse keepers house accommodation, zodiac tours, icebergs, real home cooking by the sweetest of ladies, coastal hiking trails, arctic fox, 7km long island without a tree on it and whales, oh the whales....

We loved the idea of a remote, out of the way spot to visit for our vacation, and this place did not disappoint. We drove up from where we stayed in Deer lake, NL - about a 5hr drive. We had a bit of time before meeting at the pier to get over to Quirpon Island, so we took a...
