There is nothing fancy but it is clean and there are hand crocheted blankets and covers - obviously a "Mom and Pop". The price was excellent and overall just a delightful evening. We will return. View of water stunning. Service friendly.

The past three months I have been staying at the Deer Lodge Motel in Mill Bay, B.C. Apart from being within easy driving distance to both Victoria and the Cowichan Valley, the beautiful Deer Lodge property offers a fantastic view over the Saanich inlet and beyond. Also, in nearby Mill Bay (less than two kilometres away several excellent restaurants, good...

Our first time on Vancouver Island outside of Victoria, it was a long weekend and we hadn't pre-booked our accommodations. What a surprise to find this gem of a place near the highway! Yes (to previous contributors) it is an older motel and yes there is moss on the roof however have you seen how moss covers trees in the...

Great views, window which you can open, no ac but we borrowed fan. Balcony. It's motel from 80 but I loved the size of the room. Affordability location service even room had its own charm. Loved the surroundings it's well taken care of despite being older motel. Enjoy the place.

Prior review suggests a reno - I'm thinking it's a tear down. Ancient everything. Toilet ran until you fished your hand in the back of the tank to pull the ball up. Nice. Love doing that each time someone flushes. Shower wand didn't fit so had to be handheld while attempting to shampoo and soap up. Not easy. Advised motelier...

I have driven by this Motel several thousand times , and always say "one night I'll stay there" well here we are ! One more off my Bucket List !! The place is very clean, the staff very pleasant and the rooms have all the amenities. With the Motel fairly close to the highway, I'm surprised how quiet it is...

The place obviously needs an upgrade. The moss on the roof should be the first tip-off. However, we booked a room for one night and liked it enough to not travel back into Victoria and booked an additional night. Yes, the furniture was old, but our room was not musty like some of the other reviews. The view was spectacular...

Once we arrived and managed to summon the Motlier through ringing the bell we were informed about the local area along with given many suggestions for both a local restaurant (which we took up for dinner and was the only highlight of this stop) and for towns that were in his opinion worth a visit. Biggest mistake.... NOT asking to...

There are just way too many things wrong with this place, plumbing wise, electrical wise, fire safety wise to even get into. How it hasn't burned to the ground by now defies logic. The rooms we had were old dated and musty. I honestly thought I had gone back in time or woke up on an episode of "that 70's...

The first thing I did upon entering the motel room was open EVERY window and door. I worked in a museum for 5 years and if I think somewhere is musky ITS MUSKY!! After which I turned the lamp on and the bulb along with the wiring fell out but that's ok as it was so run down kicking the...
