I love this lodge! It was built by the owners, and it is beautiful! It is a bit out of town and in an incredibly beautiful setting. There are hiking trails nearby. It was so much nicer than staying in town! Our room was what I like most in a room - simple. Everything clean and open. No TV, no...

Oh Marie - we could have just brewed another pot of coffee and continued talking - it was great fun with you two!! Funny how that is sometimes - you meet complete strangers and just hit it off right away!! Hope your trip was awesome and who knows - maybe we will meet again!! Take good care! Barbara and Christoph

Fantastic stay at a delightful find. All the reviews say the same thing about this place, and it's simply because it's true. The building and location are great, the food will please the fussiest palette, but it's actually your two hosts that make this place. Barb greeted us immediately, helped get us settled, and then met us in the dining...

From the moment we arrived Barbara and Chris made us feel welcome and right at home. We were greeted with a warm smile and a glass of wine and shown to our room which was clean and spacious with a stunning view of the mountains. In the morning we were treated to an outstanding breakfast of our choice, from blueberry...

What can I say about this establishment that others won't think that I'm related to the owners. You'll never find two more accommodating people than Barbara and Chris. Every morning they prepare breakfast per your wishes and not some old stale doughnut and cup of coffee. I was so impressed with them, that I tried to book them on my...

Hi Jim - I hope your trip was all you had hoped for! It was fun having the four of you here - even though it was just for one night! We had great fun at the Kispiox Music Festival - both sets went really well - though the weather was not cooperating!! I guess rain was like liquid sunshine...

The hosts Barbara and Chris are most welcoming to this little gem in Smithers BC. The lodge offers spectacular views from your room , which is very accommodating, and stylish. The owners built this beautiful lodge for guests like us to unwind, relax, and enjoy . There is no TV , radio or clock , which is meant by roughing...

Hi Chris - thanks for staying with us - it is always interesting talking to people from Europe, getting their views on life and politics - and comparing the infos we get over here:-). If you expect a hair dryer, a TV, a phone and WiFi in your room, Logpile Lodge is probably not for you. But if you want to spend a night or two in a beautifully built and maintained log house, in a large comfortable room with a balcony looking out on an open forest landscape, with aspens shimmering in the...

Thank you for your review. I know the evening meals at the lodge would be nice to have - but we would have to clone ourselves:-). In July and August our staff who helps us in the evenings is on vacation as well with their kids and relatives - and so rather than scramble like crazy and working 17 hour...

So beautiful! The grounds and Lodge are stunning and every room has views and patios. The rooms and bathrooms are lovely, super comfortable and calming. My wife and I stayed at this wonderful lodge, and were delighted with all aspects of the facility. The lovely log structure provided an authentic experience with a spacious and esthetically pleasing room, cheerful and competent service, and a breakfast memorable for both its size and flavour. We will go out of our way to stay there again.
