Sechelt, Sunshine coast is a hidden treasure. The town has an old vibe to it but the scenery and the lakes and the beaches are beautiful. You can feel the magic and the history. The Inn has all your basic necessities. Pretty clean, beds are comfy.

Thank you for your time; glad you like the beds! We have the same ones at home.

This is a basic motor inn, on par with a Super 8 or other roadside motel for which I'd normally expect to pay well under $100 a night. For $80 or $90 the Driftwood would have been good value for money, but at over $130 it is definitely over priced. The room was clean and tidy but very basic, furnishings...

Thank you for staying with us. We are definitely a Motor Inn but don't feel that we are charging any more than we need to. Costs are always on the increase and our rates both reflect that and are also lower or comparable to those of similar properties.

Room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. This a two storey hotel right on the waters edge. You are with in walking distance of eating and shopping. Nice to walk along the beach front walkway. Pebbles Restaurant is attached to the hotel.

Had brunch at the restaurant here, food was mediocre, staff very forgetful on who ordered what, and when you asked for extra coffee took 10-15 minutes, and then forgot the water we had asked for, although it's a breakfast with a great view, it was not up to standard

Sorry that you found the restaurant slow; I must assume that you were here on one of the exceptionally busy days that we have been experiencing this year! Glad to say that I have had no fewer than three compliments from guests this morning about their dinner last night even though we served 122 of them.

It is a lovely old style motor inn, and the location right on the beach, with a wonderful seawall was exactly what we were looking for. Turning right instead of left on the sea walk takes you into a quieter, less inhabited area. Many locals out walking their dogs, super friendly. The restaurant is fine, make a reservation if you...

Thank you for your time in reviewing your stay; we have been regretting the fact that the Driftwood has only five waterfront rooms since we came here in 1993! They are always in demand.

Thanks for your views. We do strive to provide a comfortable air conditioned room with premium pillow top mattresses, duvets and regularly replaced pillows. Our prices reflect this and a payroll of over forty employees.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room. Room was updated, clean, and roomy. Close to the beach. It is a little pricey but since there isn't really too much accommodation to choose from in this area you really have no choices. I was here when the hotel was fully booked, didn't hear any noise from neighbours. Front desk gave us...

The room was aged but clean. The restaurant food was only okay. There was not a good selection of other restaurants in the inn area. The beach in front has a nice long walkway. It was a pleasure for a stroll.

Thank you for taking the time to write; we are a Motor Inn so yes, one wing is like a motel where rooms face the parking lot. The other wing has rooms with hallways and the restaurant.

We stayed here for three nights as we were guests at a wedding in the area, and stayed in this inn as it was one of the suggestions put to out-of-town guests by the groom. We'd never visited this part of British Columbia before and really enjoyed our stay here. The reception guy couldn't have been more helpful, our waterfront...

I stayed here for one night, for work. It was during high season, so there was only one room left: a waterfront room with a kitchenette and two queen beds, going for about $185 (in July, 2015). That seemed a little bit much for what it was, which is a perfectly adequate room but not one you would plan to...
