Had a great time! Majority of the staff were very pleasant and and friendly. The restaurant could be more inviting for having to make reservations. I would to have loved for there to be a lounge area and open longer. Biggest complaint though would be there needs to be shower doors! What a huge wet mess, completely pointless in why...

Thanks Haley for your feedback. The main reason we require reservations in the restaurant is to ensure all hotel guests get dinner, as other dining options in the vicinity are limited. Our lounge is presently under renovation and when it reopens in April will provide a comfortable, casual space with later hours, a large fireplace and gorgeous lake views. Those...

We are hot springs fans and travel all over Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and now British Columbia looking for a good soak. We spent 2.5 years anticipating Ainsworth Hot Springs and booked it for a romantic Valentines Day celebration. We were so disappointed with the whole experience. The hot springs consist of a large swimming pool that was 99 degrees and...

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience here. Ainsworth is very popular and Valentines weekend is definitely busy. The majority of our guests thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, so much so that many have already booked for next year. Guests staying in the hotel have exclusive access to the pools every morning prior to the general public, and most...

I arrived at Ainsworth with my husband and 3 year old son two days after a death in the family. The trip was meant to help heal my broken heart. This sounds dramatic, but the Hot Spring did just that. The hotel rooms were spotless, with a beautiful view of Kootenay Lake. The beds were comfy, and the room was...

Thank you for your visit to Ainsworth and your feedback, which is always appreciated. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the pools, and you'll be pleased to know we are expanding the "hotel guest only" period to a full two hours each morning starting in April. I'm very sorry to hear that your experiences in the restaurant didn't measure up....

The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable, but the highlight of course was the hot springs themselves. The resort features 3 pools. A warm lounging pool which is a comfortable 99°F, a cold water plunge pool at 38°F and a 104°F hot pool much of which is contained in Ainsworth's most distinctive feature a horseshoe shaped set of interconnected caves....

We drove 5 hours to get to the hot springs, only to have our reservation mixed up when we first arrived ( instead of having side by side rooms we had rooms on opposite ends of the floor) now this wouldn't be a problem but when making the reservation I said " I never get time off work so if...

Like going there at least once a year. The hotel is nice, rooms comfy. They remodeled a few years ago. If you stay at the hotel you get unlimited use of the springs. They have a nice restaurant but a little pricey for what you get. We go to either Nelson or just eat breakfast there. The springs are my favorite...

We drove from Nelson to Ainsworth for an afternoon at the hot springs. The drive along the water is beautiful. We went during the week so the pools didn't feel crowded. If you are just dropping by for a soak, I would definitely recommend bringing your own towel, water bottle, and flip flops. The resort rents towels for $2 and...

If you love hot springs, this is one of the most interesting one in BC. The cave makes the experience unique, and the setting looking over Kootenay Lake makes it spectacular. A wonderful winter visit when added to beautiful nearby Nelson, BC. Snowflakes falling on your face while soaking at 40C/104F ALMOST matches a sun soaked beach in the Caribbean....

This place is basically out in the middle of nowhere, but for a one night stay, it's lovely. The rooms are very nice and the price of the room includes admission to the hot springs; part of which are in an underground cavern where the hot water comes from. And the water is very hot in certain parts of it....

Took the wife there for her birthday and stayed a night. Living so close 3 hours away its like going to heaven sitting in those hot pools. The restruant has great service and the food is great......I plan on taking a motor bike trip over there this year and staying for 4 nights with evening soaks for the old bones.
