My partner and I stayed at Miti Miwiri guest house in January 2016. I can't speak highly enough of the Owners, Staff and the accommodation. Ibo is a unique Island. It's not about coral beaches umbrellas and cocktails. It's about history and culture. The island has been long forgotten by the outside world. I think people come to Ibo with...

We visited Ibo 2 years ago and returned again in June this year. We wanted to stay at Miti Miwiri since it looked so appealing last time. We were disappointed that the place looked a bit run down and despite witnessing a huge Marlin being carried in in the afternoon, we were only allowed to eat what was on the...

Every room here is different - in size and decor - as this B&B is one of the refurbished ruins that are popping up on other islands too. We had 2 upstairs rooms, one facing front, the other one back, with nice views over the plaza and the garden (with restaurant and pool) respectively. Both rooms were most comfortable, with...

While other places are a bit dodgy or overpriced (IBO lodge), Miti Miwiri is the best choice on the island, though its not a budget option it´s good value for what you get. Staff and Jörg (the owner) are very helpful. The place is in the off-season more lively than the rest. We loved the place and the tasteful rooms.

Stayed for 3 nights. Really nice staff, Jörg is very helpful getting activities organised. Food is great. Building and rooms are beautifully restored. Recommend giving yourself at least 4 nights to explore all the area has to offer! Book in advance and try and get a top floor room.

We visited Ibo Island during our travelling throw Mosambique. This hotel is really a gem on this smal and upmost interesting place. Used to be a ruin few years ago, the recent owners changed the house to very nice hotel with all the animities you should required including the pool and well stocked bar. We spent there just three days,...

The lodge has a nice garden and a pleasant enviornment. The staff are welcoming and pleasant. Food was good. The management booked boat transfer from/to Quissanga/Tandanhague - only place that offers this on Ibo! Go for the mangrove walk, and spend some time in the Quirimba island. Good grilled fish at the local restaurant. Ask for rooms at top floor,...

I stayed at Two Trees for three days in May 2014 and was super impressed. My room was beautiful and clean with restored antique furniture and a cool open bathroom plan with a comfortable queen bed and patio overlooking the back courtyard of Two Trees. The owner Jorg could not have been nicer, super helpful to me and really enabled...

We loved this hotel! We stayed for a couple of nights in May and would have wanted to stay longer if we had the possibility!! The room was everything you see in the photos on the website: large, clean, and very comfortable with a large balcony area and comfortable chairs to relax and enjoy the sunset. The pool, the lounge,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Miti Miwiri which in the local language, means "Two Trees", is located at the heart of the old town. Surrounded by nature and mango trees, impregnated of an imperial atmosphere that reminds the old Portuguese colonial rule, is the perfect place to begin your African experience and to explore the Quirimbas Archipelago; embracing its virgin islands, its turquoise waters, its golden beaches and a Mwani culture still proudly preserved. Our lodge is located on the beautiful Ibo Island, the most famous amongst the thirty coral islands that make up the untouched and wild Quirimbas Arquipelago.Ibo Island, Quirimbas capital for centuries, considered culturally and historically one of the jewels of Mozambique, known as the little sister of “Mozambique Island” because of their architectural similarities, is located in the central area of the islands, or in the heart of the archipelago, just 45 minutes by boat from the mainland. ... more   less
