I believe it's now closed down. But it was an amazing place! Small, nothing fancy, great value and it felt like home! We always stayed here and will miss it dearly! It kind of felt like you were staying in a camper! Didn't mind the vibrating bed in each room either! Lol after a long day of shopping!

This is my second, and final, review of Happy Host! Three of us stayed in two rooms Mid March/2016. We seemed to be the only two rooms occupied! The Low Canadian Dollar has hurt cross boarder shopping. I suspect low oil prices have hit this area as well. Although always clean, the motel was needing serious "Sprucing Up". Well, in...

I would definitely stay again at the Happy Host Inn. The outside of the building could use some major work, but my room was just fine. Fridge, microwave, TV, good Wifi access, very comfy bed (wish I could've brought it home). Continental breakfast was more than adequate. It is situated on 32nd St. close to all shopping - Hugo's, Target,...

We enjoyed a lovely May long wknd here in Grand Forks, were received very pleasantly by the front desk lady Friday evening and again, great service from the young guy who worked late night, as well as the cleaning staff. But we have to say, the crusty older "gentleman" left a sour taste in our mouths about ever coming back...

The room was okay. Could have been updated a bit. The hallway floors are caving in and the outside needs alot of work. The worse part is the guy at the front desk.... He will be the reason I would never stay there again. Unbelievably rude!

Have stayed here several times over the years. Its more a motel and not a B&B. The place is a good value and conveniently located in the city on 32nd ave. The place is rather old but very clean. It is rather cheaply decorated--but if you don't spend much time in your room--who cares? They have a lot of Canadian...

The price is reasonable for this Canadian Shopper and the place is clean and quite. I like that I can see my car from my room. They accept coupon that you can print directly from their website. Hugo Supermarket and CVS is within walking distance if you need to buy something. Also, they have cookies and coffee available at the...

That is all we paid to stay in Grand Forks during a recent shopping trip. Just two minutes south of Columbia Mall, Walmart, Kohl's, and all the rest of the shopping strip that is 32nd Avenue. Room 142 had two queen beds (mine had one of those vibrating things ). I must say I enjoyed that after a long day...

It's taken me awhile to write this review but it needed to be written. Happy Host is economical, but you will give up friendly service and clean rooms if you go there. Although the beds were comfortable, you could see crumbs from the previous visitors. There was mold growing on the tub walls and it just felt icky. The outside...

Stayed at the happy host and it was just barely ok. Place needs big time work on the outside but the inside can pass. Had microwave and fridge. Room seemed clean lots of cable stations. Just the bare bones, room kind of smelt and breakfast toast and coffee. Lady that checked us very nice the guy at the desk not...
