We took the hotel because of the seaview room and beach. We never thought we would find such a lovely, clean, beautiful and comfortable room. The staff was so nice and also the breakfast. The prices ind spa and restaurant I much too high and you are a bit from other eating possibilities. But take a grab and go somewhere. Very affordable.

Hotel's Favourite
If you would like to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, this hidden gem is the place to escape to! Although it was school holiday week in Singapore, and many Singaporeans visited Penang, this hotel was almost deserted. There were not many people around. In fact, when I swam in the late mornings and mid-afternoons, I was the only person in the pool! As an ALL Platinum member, who was briefly demoted to Gold, I still received a room upgrade from Superior Seaview with no balcony, to Premier Seaview with balcony. It has such great view of the Andaman sea, pristine beach, and beautiful sunset! Rafa was the front desk staff who checked me in. He was extremely friendly, respectful and chatty. He patiently listened to my rambling about how crazy Accor Plus was. When all other hotel loyalty programs, like Hilton Honors and GHA Discovery were extending my elite membership tier (Gold and Platinum, respectively) to 2024 and end of 2023, Accor Plus chose 31 Aug 2023 as the cut-off date to determine my membership tier for the next 12 months. It was so unfair, because instead of 12 months, I now got only 8 months to earn stay points. The craziest thing was I was 400 points shy of the 14,000 points required to keep my Platinum tier. This stay at Angsana would have qualified me to retain Platinum. But, they chose to demote me to Gold anyway, just before my stay at Angsana Teluk Bahang. It was impossible to travel in Southeast Asia until the 4th quarter of 2022. So, members basically have only 3 months to earn points in 2022. And while other loyalty programs extend elite status for their members, like what I received from Hilton Honors and GHA Discovery, ALL chose to demote me. This is the worst hotel loyalty program ever! Luckily, I still received elite tier membership recognition at Angsana Teluk Bahang, kudos to Rafa of front desk, who checked me in, Amalina, Haiza and Zul of Jendela restaurant where I have been dining throughout my stay, as well as Anis who checked me out. Haiza deserves extra mention. She was the wait staff who had been waiting my table 4 out of the 5 days I dined at Jendela. She would return to ask me how everything was, moments after she had served my food, and asked if I needed anything. Very polite and caring, indeed! Although the service was almost impeccable, there are perhaps a few tips and pointers for the hotel management to improve on: 1. House keeping staff should be instructed to screw all shampoo, conditioner and body wash ceramic dispenser tightly after refilling. I grabbed a ceramic conditioner dispenser by the neck, not expecting that the dispenser was not screwed to the body. The ceramic body dropped and shattered. Luckily, the hotel did not ask me to pay for it, because it wasn't my fault that the plastic dispenser was not screwed to the ceramic body. 2. Make sure that body lotion is available in the room. It was not until the 2nd night that I got body lotion, after specifically requesting for it. It should by default that hotels provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap bar and body lotion in their rooms. After hours of exposing my skin to harsh sun light and chlorine in the swimming pool, my skin got super dry. I was about to head to town to buy body lotion, but luckily housekeeping staff came for turn-down service, and provided the body lotion I requested. 3. A resort hotel with private beach should provide beach bag in the room for guests to use. There was no beach bag in my room. All beach resorts I have stayed at in Bali, Sanya and Maldives which have their own private beaches, provide beach bags in their rooms. Overall, this was an amazing resort! I will definitely return again!

This is a fabulous five star hotel. We stayed here for four nights and loved everything about it. The staff are friendly and professional. The setting is beautiful. The pool is great. We didn’t spend a great deal of time on the beach (it was too hot) but all rooms have a sea view and it’s an interesting and peaceful view. Whilst it is a short distance to Georgetown (it’s about 40 minutes by car) we used Grab and the cost was still very reasonable. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel.

I had a stay last year, and I felt disappointed a bit. <> I stayed for 3N in sky garden suite ( one of my best resort now) The room on 15th floor, 2 bedroom (1 king size bed and another room was queen size for my kids) and have living room, kitchen and dining table. The AWESOME thing is the garden outside the room, with super beautiful view of Andaman sea, and a Jacuzzi. As this all things made us don’t want to go out. Everything we need already inside the rooms, very relaxed. This resorts have 2 swimming pools, first is infinity pool and second for kids with kids club. For the facilities and activities inside the resorts, YES really awesome, upgraded. Jamboree have 3 game machine( my sons favorite), board games, billiard table and got pingpong table now. Restaurants for dinner like Jendela with nice if you love buffet, the food are fresh and tasty. For one who loves fine dining No.11 (my favorite almost everyday I eat there) and special mention to Mr. Terence from No.11, he was awesome, he made wonderful chai latte. And 1 thing important. This hotel was clean..special thanks to Mr. Zaman housekeeping, to made my sons happy with the towel orangutan he made. Overall this hotel upgrade a lot since last year. Keep on going.. the staff also very friendly now. Thank you everyone who works hard in Angsana. We all really happy and promise will be back to stay longer again. You all gave me and my family very good memory. Enjoy till I almost didn’t take my phone. Just realize when I want to share some photos, but I don’t have in my phone LOL..but my brain full of memory here.

The staff asking the payment method, I told her please charge to my room, then she ask did u pay any deposit to the hotel, I said no idea & upon check in the staff no ask or inform. Then she say I need to pay by either credit card, cash or touch n go. I told her this the 1st time, hotel not allow guest bill to the room due to deposits not paid. 🤬🤬🤬🤬 After agree, had ordered the food BUT waited 1hour food & drink no come at all...when asking say 5min...after 10min asking say on the way...... Where is this hotel standard? Got standard? The worst is just the 1st day I check in...still need to suffer 2more days

I stayed for the weekend at the hotel which actually, is a part of Banyan Group. I missed my connection flight and missed my first night there but the staff kindly let me stay in the room the minute I arrived the next morning. I stayed at the tower block on the 15th floor facing the sea. The hotel is slightly further out from the Batu Feringgi nearby and ideal to have a quiet getaway. They do provide a free shuttle if you wish to venture to Georgetown or BF. The stay, even though very short, was very relaxing. The room was spacious, luxurious, peaceful and the bed was very comfortable. The facilities were well appointed and complete. The infinity pool, kids clubs, gym, spa. They have it all. Also, you get discounts if you stay there and use the spa facility and the restaurants. The staff were attentive but not obstructive. I will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Lovely looking hotel and the pool and views in the room are amazing. Definitely aesthetically pleasant. The breakfast buffet had good variety although roti canai was a bit dense and not as fluffy as I’ve had it in other places. Staff are friendly. Room is clean and housekeeping is done on time. We tried the weekend buffet at the Jendalla restaurant in the hotel and that was appalling - they really don’t know how to make western style cuisine like pizzas and pastas. The seafood was also not fresh as at all. A bit of a disappointment considering it’s a 5 star hotel. I would stay here if you are planning to go to Georgetown a lot as it’s not easy to get a grab - keep cancelling or locating a car. Stay here if you want peace and relaxation.

The check in on 5th of Feb was good with welcome drinks. This resort is calm and comfortable for a family with kids because it was near the beach and far from other hotels and resorts. My kids love the family pool and Rangers club. Tq Kak Salmi and Iqa yg jaga anak saya sepanjang saya di sana and bro Rahmat mmg terbaik, full with information pasal hotel dan history di Teluk Bahang. And tq to those foreigners yg jaga pool, they are also very friendly. Overall the stay was great, and all staff is friendly 🙂
