Don't be put off by the negative ratings, most of which date back years. Not very prepossessing from the outside, the interior of this charming b&b is a delight to behold. We were on a tight schedule so didn't have a lot of time to spend in the beautifully furnished drawing room. Linda, the innkeeper, gave us a very warm...

Just returned from spending an impromptu weekend in Old Salem. This is the ONLY place to stay (literally!) in Old Salem, and it was wonderful! Arrived at 7pm Friday and walked right across to a magnificent dinner (w/o reservations) at the Tavern. Morning arrived with french toast (with some made especially for my husband since he's allergic to cinnamon), fresh...

This is a nice B&B that is close enough to Wake Forest. Nice historic town. Breakfast was well done. We enjoyed the wine and cheese before a nice dinner in Winston Salem. Mornings were lovely with a pleasant walk aroud Salem. This is such a nice area to visit.

The Zevely Inn is an historic inn smack dab in the middle of Old Salem. Being in a historic building one cannot expect a modern, chrome-plated facility. Knowing that, we were not surprised when the floor creaked and the ceiling sagged a bit. We had a pleasant stay at this B&B. Our hostess was very friendly and efficient. Our room,...

We stayed at the Zevely for two nights while visiting Old Salem and MESDA. I loved that we could just leave the car and walk to everything. Linda, the innkeeper, was very welcoming. She showed us some sample menus from restaurants, and was good at giving directions to restaurants. Our room was on the second floor, with a lovely view...

During our recent stay at the Zevely, we encountered a bit of a problem. Linda couldn't have been more helpful and professional in her immediate response. We have stayed before and will return as often as possible. Thanks Linda for making our stay more than just memorable. MK Ruwe

This quaint B&B is nestled right in the middle of the Historic district. For a 200+ year-old home, it is suprisingly modern in its guest amenities: a whirlpool tub combined with a great steambath function belies its age (and something not found in any other B&B in my 30 years of B&B experience). The Innkeeper, Linda, was delightful, accomodating to...

We stayed Valentine's one night in the Summer Kitchen last year and it was very romantic and cozy. I thought maybe I would experience some Colonial ghosts (I didn't!) because the place is in historic Old Salem. The bed was comfy and the location is great. We went back again and would refer others here.

Linda the inn manager was friendly on arrival. The gentleman who helped with breakfast always looked perturbed and put out. Breakfast was lacking. Room was very small and hot. Fan in room did not work. Location was excellant. I went the week after Christmas.

We spent one night in the "Summer Kitchen" which you can get to either by coming through the backyard from the side street, or by coming through the main house, outside, and down a flight of stairs. There was a king sized bed which was surprisingly comfortable. At home we have a Tempurpedic and so I usually don't sleep well...
