We were exploring Wilmington, NC, for the first time. Our stay at The Verandas was a fabulous experience. The owner, Chuck, was very gracious and welcoming. The care with which this lovely home was restored was evident throughout. The decor was very elegant, yet welcoming. We were able to walk to the riverfront and stroll through the beautiful tree-lined streets...

We stayed for 1 evening last week, and we can't stop talking about what a good B&B experience it was. The owner, Chuck, is friendly, helpful, and a wonderful Ambassador for Wilmington. The B&B is spacious, clean and located in the heart of the historic district of Wilmington. Breakfast was amazing - french press coffee, fruit, baked tomato and individual...

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Wilmington. We have stayed in quite a few B&B's and this was another great one! Charles is a great host with a lot of neat stories about his worldly travels. Very knowledgeable about the area with a lot of good advice as far as where to eat. The home is beautifully decorated...

Our host Chuck is an example of Southern hospitality, personally welcoming us into his lovely restored house and giving us the tour and history behind the property. The rooms are large, clean and have a ton of atmosphere. The location is a 2 minute walk to downtown or the river walk, and makes it really easy to see a lot...

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Verandas when we visited Wilmington for a weekend trip. This was honestly the best B&B experience I've ever had (including AirBnb)! The house is beautifully decorated (with great outdoor porch seats), the rooms and bathrooms very comfortable and clean, and the location a 3-min walk from the waterfront and Front Street. Chuck the...

We were combining the trip to cover our anniversary and scope out the area for possible relocation. We could not have been any happier than the choice we made to stay at The Verandas. Chuck was an amazing warm, personable and overall exceptional host. He successfully wore the hats of many - innkeeper, concierge, chef, etc. etc. We have stayed...

The stay was perfect. What a charming and delightful place to relax and explore. The place has such magnificent history as do so many of the homes in the Historic area of Wilmington. The amenities in the rooms are beautifully designed, modern, and convenient. Chuck has tucked in special treats for his guests not typically found at a B&B such...

We stayed at The Verandas for four nights, mid-September. We do not usually stay at B&Bs but we wanted something located in the historic area of Wilmington. The Verandas is easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and the river. I think what's unusual about this B&B is that there are 8 corner rooms, so it's almost more like a small inn....

We did an overnight getaway at the last minute and only wish we could have stayed longer than one night. Innkeepers Chuck and Jennifer were truly accommodating and full of interesting and helpful tips. The breakfast was delicious, the bed exceedingly comfortable, and the atmosphere divine. Everything was simply impeccable.

After limiting it down between a few B&B's, we chose the Verandas. We stayed in a hotel for 2 previous nights, but really wanted to try a B&B for the first time, so we decided on 1 night at a B&B. We chose well, & had a great first experience! First off, the place is a gorgeous 3 story mansion....
