We recently stayed here for a wedding event down the street. This hotel is literally steps away from downtown Wilmington bars and restaurants. It is old-but with lots of personality. We stayed in the Maritime House, which was a former convent. You could really feel the spirit there. The room was small, but very well-equipped. I loved the atmosphere with...

We'd originally planned on staying at a big box brand-name place but decided to try a place with more character, and what a nice surprise we found in the heart of Wilmington's historical section! The Wilmingtonian consists of 3 buildings, and we chose a mini-apartment in the Maritime, which had a separate living room and galley kitchen done up in...

I stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding and I was very pleased with my stay. The suite was very nicely appointed and extremely clean. The office keeps a good supply of snacks and drinks for guests, and the light breakfast was good. There is no elevator for the second floor, and parking is across the street from...

Nice, clean & super friendly. Close to every thing. The front desk was very helpful. Great snacks & fresh fruit for the morning. Was cool to grap a bag of popcorn & take it up to the room. Nice shower & shampoos.

I read some TripAdvisor reviews before booking this location for myself!f and two colleagues for an overnight business trip. I was looking for a slightly more authentic feel in Wilmington compared to a chain hotel, so thought this would be good, esp from. The recent glowing reviews. I wasn't happy with my choice. The GOOD - Very nice downtown location...

I went to Wilmington in January with my dog Eli. He's a rescue dog and it was his first vacation. Pam at reception could not have been more lovely to us. She was so warm and friendly, answering my questions and providing some suggestions on local attractions. She was also very kind and welcoming to Eli too which I really...

Thank you for this very nice review. We are sorry to hear that your room was chilly when you arrived. We try to reduce our carbon footprint in the winter by keeping temperatures a little lower in our suites when they aren't occupied, but we should have had the temperature set higher when we knew that someone was to be...

We stayed at the Wilmingtonian for friend's desitnation wedding. While it wasn't on the list of hotels with blocked rooms, the rates were actually better than those affiliated with the wedding. Other friends were staying in neighboring hotels and we by far had the best value. The hotel was located within easy walking distance of all the wedding events, as...

stayed here for one night on a quick overnight stay as part of a US road trip vacation. The hotel has a great location a short walk away from all down town attractions and restaurants. We arrived in Wilmington on a Monday having spent the weekend in Myrtle Beach and heading back towards Charlotte. We had no accommodation booked and the tourist office gave us details of a few places. We liked the look of The Wilmingtonian and got a good deal. The check in staff were helpful and friendly. I decided to travel to Wilmington at the last minute for a weekend getaway and the Wilmingtonian did not disappoint! The hotel's accommodations are located in three restored buildings situated around a courtyard. My room, or small suite, was located in the Maritime House. The hotel is very reminiscent of a New Orleans or Savannah property. There is a guest...
