Beautiful, stately home, clean and cozy, but the best part was the owner, Sophie. We felt like we were home away from home. Absolutely love this place!!! Outdoor grounds were pristine, could walk around the neighborhood to stretch your legs.

Looking for a getaway to Wilmington? Received a gift certificate from my Marine son for a getaway to my happy place Wilmington. This was my first experience at a Bed & Breakfast. What a delightful experience it was. The house was all decorated for the holidays. With lighted garland all around the winding stair case. We were welcomed with cheese...

Wonderful hospitality, and incredible breakfast. Reasonable walk downtown. It's a 100 year old house, so as long as you accept that as part of the charm when taking a shower in a retrofitted tub, you'll have a great experience.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful weekend in Wilmington, NC, a city that is alive with a rich history and beautifully restored homes that are listed on the historical register. We stayed at one of these homes during our visit there. Our stay at Port City Guest House was absolutely wonderful! Sophie, our hostess, is an amazing...

I can't say enough about what a wonderful weekend we had at the Port City Guest House! I could go on about the comfortable beds, the great water pressure in the shower, or even the AMAZING breakfast and snack hour offerings. But the real highlight of this place is Sophie, your hostess. She truly makes you feel like a welcome...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely bed and breakfast. We were treated like family with delicious treats and a delightful breakfast. The location is very convenient to downtown shopping and restaurants. We hope to visit again soon.

Learned of this gem when looking for a place for my aunt & uncle to stay in October 2015- they had a great time, so returned with some girlfriends for a long weekend. Sophie's hospitality was top notch again and I fear my family will prefer staying with her when they come to visit Wilmington based on the food, comfort,...

The moment you enter you will feel a great welcoming vibe. Smiling faces generous pours and a selection of outstanding entrees and appetizers will reward your decision to dine at the Port Land Grille. Don't forget everyone will know your name.

We love the beach and decided to stay in historic Wilmington instead of right on the beach for a change. It was a great choice! The house itself is beautiful-it reminded us of some of the historic homes we toured in Charleston, SC-and Sophie is of course an exceptional housekeeper. Her breakfasts are quite filling and in true Southern-style, she...

It was my first experience at a B&B and I was in town solo for a business trip. Sophie made me feel very welcome, and the food and snacks were delicious. The home has so much character and the location is perfect for enjoying Wilmington. So inviting, friendly and gracious. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I can't say...
