I am a traveling OB/GYN (drcathylbagleydotcom) on return assignment in the gorgeous smoky mountains of North Carolina experiencing yet another boarding option. All that I can say is this is not an environment conducive to work tempting me with natural visual distractions, such as: sprawling, well-landscaped golf courses, encircling mountains and spring blossoming trees. Oh pooh! This establishment offers a...

The staff at the Waynesville Inn and in the pro shop are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the newer building with mountain views, The room was spacious and comfortable and offered a small refrigerator and coffee maker, walk in closet with iron & ironing board, and 2 doors leading to our private patio. We enjoyed sitting on the patio...

The golf course is a picturesque "executive" course. The employees are wonderful. The downtown is fun to explore - especially the Mast General Store, (here comes the but)....unfortunately the facilities disappointed. The heating system was noisy - sort of like a distant helicopter landing. Everything was dated. The hotel rooms may have been remodeled in the 1980's. Water pressure was...

Nice quiet place to relax. Would recommend staying in building with views of the mountain. Overlooks the golf course and has over sized rooms. Chairs on the shared deck are a nice touch. Very clean and friendly staff. We ate the complimentary hot breakfast and it was wonderful. Many options to chose from. Will definitely stay here again!!!

My son and I recently took a fly fishing trip to Waynesville for the weekend, and we stayed at The Waynesville Inn, Golf Resort and Spa. When we checked in the gentlemen at the front were very helpful to suggest some places we might want to have dinner. On this particular weekend the resort was crawling with golfers. The room...

If you are looking for someplace quiet with beautiful views, this would definitely be the place. If you are looking for modern amenities, this would not be your place. The fixtures stress very old and most televisions are under 20". The bathrooms are very small, but usable. The chairs on the balconies are director type chairs, so not that comfortable...

Our annual golf trip. The Waynesville CC was out dated and unappealing. the rooms were outdated and not kept up very well. We had a 24 inch TV in the room that was built in 1983 for example. the carpet was dirty and looked to be old. the rooms were not very appealing, have not been updated in over 30...

My girlfriend and I took a trip as a short getaway from the pressures of everyday life and found a Groupon for this inn. Overall, I'd give it a 6/10. The breakfast was great, the breakfast staff was very friendly, and the aesthetic appeal of the surrounding scenery was very nice. The room was a little outdated including rust on...

I have stayed at this hotel several times and don't think I will ever return. The only rooms I would consider giving a 3 out of 5 are the Golfview rooms because of the size, amenities, view, and tranquility. However, there's no guarantee that they will assign you a "mountain view" room even after you have paid for one. No...

Come planning to relax and chill out in the mountains! Leave work, internet and TV behind. Had a great visit. Room was large with an amazing view of the mountains and golf course. Kitchenette was wonderful. Really liked the frig/freezer. Closet was enormous. Stored our bikes plus. Wished the tv was larger (23"), but then again wasn't there to watch...
