This is a quiet, rustic and fun place to stay. The fresh breakfast is included and is delicious with a wide range of dishes to choose from. The hosts are friendly and go out of their way to insure your comfort.

Cozy room, quaint lodge but the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the room next to you. They do not supply clean towels everyday and do not empty your waste baskets during your stay. You get one roll of toilet paper...More

We really loved our stay at Grandview. Jeff and Breanna are the ultimate hosts! They know the area well and will help you explore areas for hiking, waterfalls, of course, nearby Asheville. Jeff serves a delicious home cooked, gourmet breakfast every morning. Rooms are comfortable...More

I think your review is way misleading. Not once did you ever mention that you spoke to the owners about any issues you had so they could make it right. Sneaking out in the middle of the night seems quite juvenile. I've been going to Grandview Lodge for years and in the 144 reviews they have, over 120+ of the 144 are 4 or 5 star. So my questions to you are? 1. Why didn't you speak to Jeff or Breanne immediately and have them address your concerns? 2. Some of the pictures look staged or not a big deal. Bugs??? You're in the mountains in the woods, seriously? 3. Why write a poor review over a month after the fact, when you never even stayed there and abandoned your room, which left them unable to re-book anyone in it? 4. I asked the owners about this review once I read it and they mentioned that you never said anything to them or raised any of these concerns until almost 2 weeks later. Why is that? 5. Did you go to whatever 3rd party website you booked through to get a refund? The owners are good people who work hard, and the many, many 4 and 5 star reviews are a testament to that. The owners are the reason we have stayed there for the past 4 seasons. For you to try and ruin their business by posting bullshtein like this is unconscionable. "Grim-view" how original, your review sounds like sour grapes. For someone who claims to be a worldtraveler91 and yet you sneak out in the middle of the night without even speaking to anyone. Did you even call them the next day to raise your concerns? Some advice, next time you should speak to the owners, I know for a fact that Jeff and Breanne would have made it right immediately. Your alleged "bad" stay is far from the truth and the actual description of Grandview Lodge. We are already booked for next year, and for many more years to come.
