Overall a wonderful stay. Great staff, great food, great value for money. What I liked most was the traveling distance and time from home, the location is great! Rooms aren't very sound proof so what I didn't like was my neighbors played very loud music in their room and I don't think is should be permitted and I shouldn't have...

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Maropeng. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and the overall mood at the hotel was laidback and relaxed. The food served at the restaurant was above my expectations, it was delicious. I will be returning!!

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful time here. From the moment we arrived until we left the service was excellent and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We asked for advice regarding the day-time activities and the receptionists were extremely helpful. The chef was friendly and came to check that dinner met our expectations and our waiter...

There is absolutely nothing to complain about this boutique hotel. Rooms were great with a lovely view. Everything was in working condition and location is in the heart of cradle of mankind. The only reason why I gave it four stars was because of the food. Food was ok, nothing spectacular but it fills you up.

I stayed at the hotel for 1 night with my wife as a mini "staycation" to get out of Sandton for the weekend and finally visit the Cradle. Maropeng hotel is a little hotel perfectly situated close to the heritage centre and the Sterkfontein caves. We arrived late Saturday afternoon and relaxed at the hotel for the evening. Large bed...

Great hotel, great location. Unfortunately the show is being let down by some strange breakfast staff who take ages to poach eggs and housekeeping calling on the room after 9pm to empty dustbins (?!?!?) Such a pity. Could do better...

We stayed over for the evening after visiting the caves and the visitor's center. The hotel is one of the best I have see, the decor was chosen meticulously and the over all feel of the hotel was warm and welcoming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with everything you could need. The bathroom had a spacious shower and bath....

Wow! Friendly reception followed by smiling restaurant staff. One of the staff was so knowledgeable about the whole area as well and helped us organise our itinerary the next day. Great food, too. Outstanding views from all the rooms. Great value for money as well.

My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting the Cradle of Humankind area. The hotel was in an ideal location to visit the famous caves and the Visitor centre and surrounds. The small infinity pool was very welcoming after a day out, which looked out over the lovely hills. I was looked after well with...
