Stayed here three nights...everything was great. Great location and what views on the parkway. Weather was okay but not too good for pictures. Bathrooms were clean. Solo camping and felt very safe. Will go back again. Oh, I am a hammock camper, with a dog, dog friendly a big plus

Great customer service and a decent place to stay if you're not looking to travel into Asheville often. We stayed one night in "Campin Cabin C4" and although we expected primitive, the cabin was dirty. Also, be aware that you'll need to bring your own padlock as those are not provided with these cabins. Can't speak on behalf of the...

We stayed in family cabin 2. The location of the campground and the cabin was great. We weren't sure what to expect upon arrival and were pleasantly surprised. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The campground amenities were basic. Most of the games in the game room were out of order, bathhouses and laundry facility were dated, and...

We've been staying at Bear Den Campground for years - 1st in tents, now in a travel trailer. It has never once let us down. They have spacious sites that aren't piled on top of one another, and all are covered with trees - you feel like you're camping in the middle of the woods. The bathrooms/showers are older but...

My wife and son were able to get the last tent spot there for a one night stay on Labor Day weekend. We were able to fit two tents comfortably (Spot D14). Tent spot had a slight grade, but liveable. Good amount of screening foliage between campsites for a little sense of privacy. Busy weekend, so store was out of...

My husband & I took our brand new 30 ft. RV up to Bear Den on our first trip out with a tow behind car. We had reserved a spot using their online reservation system. First of all the route up the mountain is quite steep, with hair-pin turns which made for a little scary trip up the mountain. The...

Bear Den is where we go when we want to escape from it all.We usually go in the summer so we can escape the heat and the humidity.I pull a 30 ft travel trailer and have no issues getting here. The campground is very spacious with plenty to do.I spend most of my time at Bear den lake catching catfish. If...

We recently stayed in the honeymoon plus cabin. I absolutely loved it there, it was the perfect little get away. The staff were very nice. We arrived around 2:30, check in is at 3, and thought we would take a chance and see if we could go ahead and get in. We had to wait just a few minutes because...

We camped here for 2 nights with our two children, 4 and 2 years old. Very impressed with the attentive staff and clean bathrooms! They have multiple playgrounds, golf cart rentals, a game room, camp store, a small lake for fishing/swimming, and wifi hot spot at the camp store. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here, but I only gave it...

First time camping in a pop up camper. We usually tent camp. And though we checked the camper out before we left home, we had LOTS of issues with the camper. Our issues included breaking a cable that raises the roof, a small leak that turned into a BIG leak (and no it did not leak at home before we...
