From the crystal serving dishes to the incredible chandelier, to the genteel southern couple running this amazing piece of history, you will feel like you've stepped back in time, (with all the modern convinces of a/c and hot water, of course). Planning my daughter's wedding pushed me a little far and my hubby and I hopped in our car from...

We stayed in the Governor's Room and it had an ensuite bathroom and waterfront views. The room was large and beautiful with a fireplace and leather sofa and chair. We were greeted upon arrival with wine and some light snacks. There was a small fridge in the upstairs hall with plenty of cold water as well. Even though it was...

After almost 40 years or marriage and many trips, we finally stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. Not just any B & B, but I would imagine this has to be one of the best to be found anywhere. Such a peaceful, quiet home- not a house, but a real home. Judy and Jim, the owners, were wonderful. The Brunswick...

We stayed in the Governor's Room with attached bath and direct access to the 2nd floor sitting room (with balcony). Owners were very hospitable and enjoyable to talk with. Historic home overlooking Cape Fear River. Included wine and snacks around 5 PM, then breakfast at 8:30 (coffee ready by 7AM). We were the only one staying there on this Monday...

I took my wife for a surprise anniversary get away. The Brunswick Inn was perfect. It's a huge beautiful Inn on the water over looking the Cape Fear River. There are multiple rooms for sitting reading or just relaxing. There are several huge porches overlooking the river. The river is teaming with wildlife and boats of all kinds. The views...

We enjoyed 2 lovely days with Judy and Jim, who could not have been kinder. The house is well positioned, roomy and very comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and different on out nights there, but what really made the stay so memorable was the friendliness of our hosts. Thank you very much.

My wife and I spent two nights here. This was our first time staying in a B&B and visiting the Southport area. Our host, Jim & Judy were so attentive but never intrusive. Beautiful home situated across from the water way. The breakfasts were awesome and evening refreshments and horderves were a nice touch. Be prepared if you stay.........there are...

Wife and I went down for our 26th annv. and loved it. Jim & Judy the inn keepers were great folks, and the charm of Southport is beyond statement. it was really laid back, no t.v. telephones or radios, but they want missed. loved the feeling of trust in the area. loved the "cat in the piano".

Jim and Judy are nothing short of incredible hosts! They not only cater to your every need, but treat you as a Friend and Guest in their home from the moment you arrive. Morning and evening chats about the area and Jim and Judy's banter are just one of many examples that illustrate this true labor of love for both...

Stayed at the Brunswick Inn B&B when I participated in an en plein air event. The old house was so completely charming! It was very nicely decorated with many personal items from the Clary's travels. Breakfast was yummy, too! In fact, it was necessary for me to be out and painting by 8:30am, but breakfast not to be served until...

“I don't think there is a bad room as they are all quite large. And noise is not a problem as Southport is a sleepy little coastal village. But beautiful and the people are nice.”
