We love historical hotels...if they are kept updated. We were a little worried when we entered our lodge and started up the steps to the Penthouse. Wow, were we surprised to find a beautiful, spacious room on the 3rd floor with front and rear balconies. Comfortable bed, great view from the rear balcony and friendly staff. Recommend 169 Penthouse.

Turn back time. This property is set up in lodge style buildings which feature a lot of natural wood. Very pleasant, clean room decorated with golf items. Everyone I met on their staff was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Too cold to golf when I visited ,however the course looked great.

My wife and I were very excited to have reservations at the Crest Restaurant at Pine Needles. The excitement faded quickly. The lobster bisque did not have a trace of lobster meat. The prime rib was of poor quality and overlooked. We ordered hot chocolate cake and was brought a frozen piece. Enough said. We will never return. We were...

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Mid Pines Inn at Pine Needles. It has a special feel since the owner, Peggy Kirk Bell, had passed away only days before. Quite a legend in the world of women's golf and also the Pinehurst community. The Inn is quite old and rustic but certainly displays charm. No elevator and not...

Absolutely charming setting...beautiful lodge and views. HOWEVER...in a 2 night stay you shouldn't have to have your room key redone 17 times because they don't open your door..Totally rediculous. ..such a nice place BUT YOU CAN'T GET IN YOUR ROOM. $13.50 For a bar bourbon and ginger ale is pretty expensive also.

Pine Needles was great and we will definitely return! Our room was clean and included everything you would get from a chain resort (hair dryer, shampoo, coffee pot, etc.). The bar area was perfect for group gatherings after the guys wrapped up golf. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because when we entered the...

The Golf course were in great shape. The room was so comfortable, beds were perfect. The best part was the food which was outstanding. The bar area and burgers are the best I have ever had. The staff were friendly and warm, we felt like we were home.

What I like best about Pine Needles is that not much changes over the years. The same wandering layout of the lodge and restaurant is charming. They keep it in good shape however and the course gets loads of attention, including new turf on the greens this year.

We stayed at Pine Needles - Eagle lodge. It was a nice place. The room was done in a traditional golf decorum. The interior was tired. Needs an update. They have a small kitchenette. There were no supplies other than 2 highball glasses. There is a small fridge and micro wave. They want you to use their restaurants. We were...

If you want to enjoy some golf and stay right on site, this is a place to be! Two magnificent courses right outside your door. Stayed on Pine Needles in one of their lodges. Everything you could need right here! Service is excellent. Pine Needles and MidPines superb championship golf. Only small thing lacking at lodge was a stove to...
