We wanted to Pottery Shop and also visit Star, NC where they have the glass blowing school. Do NOT miss the school. Their pieces are one of a kind and just beautiful. They have the Annual Pumpkin Patch in October where you get to wander thru their patch. Charming B&B.

Lovely restored home. Delicious breakfasts. Delightful and accommodating hosts, sisters Barbara and Suzanne. We stayed in the large main floor guestroom. Best one for us, but all rooms are lovely and comfortable. Lovely grounds surrounding the main house. Close to many potteries and the North Carolina Zoo. You will enjoy your stay at this B & B. Lots of area...

The Duck Smith B&B is a delightful gem south of Asheboro, NC, and near the North Carolina Zoo and Sea Grove pottery attractions. The cleanliness and friendliness is outstanding. The hostesses made sure we had a breakfast that suited our tastes and even brought out cheese and crackers one evening. Our weekend was relaxing and fun.

My mother and I enjoyed a visit at the Duck Smith House while shopping the local potteries. Barbara and Suzanne were lovely hostesses and the house was absolutely spotless!! We stayed in the Waverly room and enjoyed a restful nights sleep. I can't say enough wonderful things about the breakfast the next morning…. strawberries with yogurt, granola and mint, french...

We recently spent 2 nights at the Duck Smith House and would highly recommend it! Sisters Barbara and Suzanne were the perfect hosts and have made this inn quite comfortable for their guests. Lots of nice little extras all around. They were great with suggestions for restaurants, pottery venues, etc. The breakfasts were fabulous! The first morning began with fresh...

We stayed at the Duck Smith House for a weekend in March 2015. The two sisters from New York who own it are lovely people and enjoy hosting. We were met at our car upon arrival, even though with a long drive we didn’t have a set arrival time. The room, on the first floor and just inside the front...

Best coffee during our roadtrip vacation. Beautiful historic home. Bird watching in the backyard. Great breakfast. Warm hostesses. Don't be put off by the location, our room was very quiet. A tip when traveling to Seagrove - most businesses and pottery shops are closed on Sunday.

As we were touring the Pottery Studios in Seagrove, we told people that we were going to stay at the Duck Smith House that evening and they told us that "the sisters will take care of you." They Did! It was one of the nicest stays I have ever experienced from the warm welcome to the hug goodbye. They have...

The Duck Smith House B&B is the best we have ever stayed at. The Murphy Sisters make staying comfortable, relaxing and us wanting to stay longer. All the extra touches make you feel very pampered. I do have to say the pancakes are the best I've ever had. It's a great place to visit: Zoo, birding, pottery, antiquing and great...
