Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Paul and Jeanette were very welcoming, informative and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Lots of lovely touches int e room and good recommendations for places to eat in York, which is a couple minutes' away by car. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade touches, and we wished we could have stayed longer!

We stayed here for 1 night whilst on a WA touring holiday. On arrival we were greeted by our lovely hosts Jeanette and Paul, who made us feel welcome with a friendly chat. Our lovely room had all a person could ever want and more. Various teas, coffees, treats, cold drinks, toiletries, etc even a decanter of port for a nightcap. The TV also had free Netflix for guests. That night we cooked out on the bbq in the great undercover garden/bbq/dining/games area. The bed was comfy for a restful sleep. Location was nice and quiet too. The next morning we enjoyed a hot shower before a lovely breakfast supplied in the main house with plenty of tasty choices. We again enjoyed a friendly chat with our hosts and admired some of their lovely antique collections on display. We would happily stay here again and recommend to others.

This B&B is owned by probably two of the best hosts you would like to meet. Nothing was too much. The self-contained room lacked nothing. In fact, a number of small things such as free nibbles and drinks were a bonus. The breakfast provided in Paul and Jeanette’s kitchen was extremely nice. We strongly recommend this B&B

My self and she who must be obeyed(sometimes) visited York as part of our holidays, We had never stayed in a B&B before, but decided to give York's Lookout Lodge a go, Jeanette welcomed us into her home(Paul was at Work) we were shown around and then to our room, spacious with a bed, lounge, bar fridge(with beer, and a bottle of bubbles included in the price of the stay) not forgetting a bowel of fruit, some nice chocolates, soft drinks ,and so many types of tea and coffee to try. We were brought a tray of still hot scones, with jam and cream(Wow what a great touch to our stay .We were made to feel like part of the family, comfy bed to sleep in what more could we ask for, Breakfast was a choice of many types of cereal.Toast, fruit, yogurts and a nice fruit salad....Over All a fantastic stay and so much to choose from in the way of toiletry's,creams, soaps even disposable razors

The suite at this B & B was superb - comprising a lounge, bedroom and bathroom. The lounge was small, but comfortable, with a bowl of fruit, chocolates, tea and coffee making facilities, sparkling wine, beer and other drinks in the refrigerator. There was a TV and DVD player with a large number of DVDs. Breakfast comprised cereals, fresh fruit, toast, and the offer of a hot breakfast. Jeanette and Paul gave us a warm welcome on our arrival we were offered afternoon tea with fresh scones and sandwiches. Nothing was too much trouble! A really great place to stay.

Jeanette extends a very warm welcome to her guests, working hard to make sure that you have not just a place to stay, but an experience to be remembered. Hard to fault this venue, we're looking forward to an opportunity to return.

Last week we visited York WA as surprise visit for my husband's birthday. We stayed at the York's Lookout Lodge Bed and Breakfast. It is by far the best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in! Jeanette and Paul are such friendly and generous hosts; we spent a memorable time chatting with them. And Jeanette, oh my goodness, she absolutely spoiled us with her attention to detail in all the extras offered and she fed us extremely well. I confidently recommend to anyone travelling to that area to go and stay at York's Lookout Lodge Bed and Breakfast. You'll be glad that you did.

My brother and I arrived in York for an overnight stay after a long day. Arriving late in the evening after having dinner in York, we found Paul and Jeanette so very welcoming, and they went out of their way to make us feel at home. Despite our late arrival, we shared a glass or two in the garden and chatted like old friends. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and very well equipped, and everything was spotless. Breakfast the next morning was a great experience! Thank you both for a fabulous experience and bonne continuation! Fiona from France
