Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous experience. The attention to detail is beyond anything else. Sandra and Phil know how to deliver a guest house at its optimal. Highly recommend Fabulous for a romantic sneaky weekend away however, also perfect for a group of up to 18 to enjoy.

Sandra and Phil wonderful hosts. Enjoyed a quick getaway with another couple. Had a glorious afternoon tea and ordered, and ate as much as we could some magnificent platters while having a few drinks in the sitting room

We took the opportunity to visit York and stay at Laurelville Manor for my husband’s recent birthday. It did not disappoint. Lovely big rooms, cloud like bed and the most magnificent food. The gardens and verandahs were an oasis. We felt so relaxed and well fed by the conclusion of the weekend. Highly recommend.

Beautiful gardens Big inviting veranda to relax Beautiful house and decorated elegantly Great place to relax We were upgraded to a bigger room which was a lovely surprise Lollies biscuits, assortment of teas and coffee with fresh milk in room which was lovely Plenty of reading material on offer Reception rooms were inviting and relaxing The whole house had a relaxing ambiance The breakfast was outstanding The bathroom was spacious A couple of things during our stay the t.v reception was poor and the complimentary wifi did not work for us And just a suggestion it would be useful to have a small table or chair to put your clothes on in the bathroom there is room The service was 5 star And all of us group of four would stay again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Laurelville. Everything was luxurious and perfect. The gardens are truly amazing and so fragrant. There’s is so to explore around the property. We went Hot Air Ballooning in Northam during our stay. Thoroughly recommend that too. The house is old and historical with every part of it telling a story. So many lovely touches everywhere you look. Will certainly be back again. Thank you to the hosts, Sandra and Phil.

We (there are 4 of us) stayed a night at Laurelville Manor. It was wonderful. Host Sandra made us very welcome. The rooms were large, very comfortable and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Lovely personal touches throughout the rooms. We made great use of the balcony area. There were scones with jam and cream and a cuppa on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will come back.

We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute. Luxurious and beautifully decorated and prepared spacious room. Scrumptious and plentiful breakfast seated on the verandah overlooking the roses. A truly lovely experience. We had a happy time there.

The manor house looked spectacular with its stunning gardens and beautiful rose and flower display. On arrival we were given the large bridal suite, which was stunningly decorated , as was the rest of the house. Breakfast, served on the verandah, was delicious. Sandra, the owner was a great host. The 2 night stay was very therapeutic and we would definitely stay again.

Our 33rd wedding anniversary and we needed a quiet break away. We’ve been living with my husbands terminal diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease since November 2017 and we have to do things differently now. We arrived as the late afternoon sunshine was making the manor glow and look so welcoming. Even without the garden flowering, we knew we had made the right choice. Our suite was perfect and no detail had been overlooked. The bed linen, pillows, trays of interesting objects, the art work in every room, beautiful coffee table books and I’ve not mentioned the huge comfy sofa in the separate lounge or the HUGE bathroom with underfloor heating and a gorgeous roll top bath. Breakfast was an absolute feast. Delicious rhubarb, tasty strawberries, pears, cereals, breads, jams, freshly squeezed orange juice and very good coffee. Oh.....then I kid you not there is the cooked option! Fried eggs, homemade bread and very tasty bacon and we wouldn’t be eating again until this evening! We hadn’t reckoned on the most delicious moist chocolate cake and fresh scones with jam and cream being on offer for afternoon tea. Plates filled, coffee cup brimming and we headed for the veranda to enjoy the last of the sunshine before the cold wind forced us back into the warmth of our room. Later we enjoyed a bowl of hearty homemade tomato soup. Oh my is the diet starting Monday! Sadly, we had to leave after a lazy Sunday morning breakfast but vowed to return before the year is out, and hopefully see the beautiful flowers that I’m sure will make the gardens even more magnificent. Thank you Sandra and team. Your efforts were very much appreciated.

We stayed here in October for 2 nights. Sandra & her team were delightful as always and could not do enought for us. The rooms and food are of a very high standard and the grounds are peaceful and well looked after. We will be back.
