Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Brilliant campsite, an oasis in the midst of a barren landscape. Clean and well maintained, nothing too much trouble for the owner. Spacious powered sites, well equipped camp kitchen, refreshing shady pool and great showers. Highly recommended!

What was supposed to be a 2 night stay actually turned into 8 nights due to the subsequent closure of the Gibb River Road! But holy hell what a great place to stay. The campground is lovely and shady, ablution blocks super clean, laundry & clothesline, super crisp cold pool & the best stocked camp kitchen we’ve ever seen! Sharon (the owner) is so bloody nice & couldn’t be more helpful .. I felt like I’d known her for years! With the impending unseasonal rain we decided to have 2 nights in a donga (didn’t want to tough it out in the roof top tent), Sharon actually upgraded us at no charge to a cabin … OMG I thought I’d died & gone to heaven! The cabins are so clean & well appointed & just what we needed a bit of luxury! Thanks Sharon you made our stay in Wyndham!

We loved staying at the Wyndham Caravan Park. The park is shady and well maintained. Unlike a lot of caravan parks we were made to fell very welcome and the owner, Sharyn went out of way to make sure we had a memorable stay. My wife and I are birders and the bird life in and around the park was amazing. In particular we were able to see the Gouldian Finch which was a highlight. Highly recommended

To park under a tree and rest is fabulous - I decided on a cabin for a change and stretch out! The place was beyond fantastic. Jug, Coffee cags. Nestle coffee as well. Tea and even personalised soap. Nice bed, great TV and not all that expensive! It was high season, and the place seemed full, but even with so many people, it was not loud or even noisy. Some characters by a great fire and many funny travel stories. Birds chirping, smiling people... and a nice camp kitchen... That was so well thought out. The nice young lady at check-in. The groundsman was fastidious, keeping the place tidy. Good local shop. Not a rip off, it caters for locals as well. The local bakery which within is walking distancis ~ a dangerous place! THEY PUT SO MUCH CREAM in their yummy sweet things... The bakery is worth the walk! Nice town - nice people... I should have stayed longer! The BEST Caravan park is 23000 kilometres

I originally came for 2 nights but stayed 6 A well maintained c.p. Camp kitchen with EVERYTHING you need and is spotless. Aovrly feel to this c.p.. A little 'shop' with an "honesty jar." Green grass, shady sites, swimming pool to cool off, a short walk or drive to town. I cannot recommend this caravan Park enough.

We have had 3 stays there during the last 2 years and will again on our imminent return to Darwin. A spacious van park with good facilities and helpful park manager. Good shade and birds are a gentle wake up call in the morning. A large swimming pool and often Gouldian finches visit the creek near the caravan park.

I think this is the best caravan park I have ever stayed. Beautifully kept grounds, well equiped kitchen, the largest boab in captivity, an honour system kiosk and welcoming hosts with a wealth of experience. We had orignally planned to only stay one night but it was too nice so stayed another. I could have stayed a week. Loved the gentle yoga with Wendy under the boab tree. A highlight of my Kimberly trip.

Wyndham Caravan park a hidden gem. Large shady trees with green lawns , concrete pads, clean modern ablution block, swimming pool, excellent camp kitchen and safe. Wyndham abounds with history, interesting museum, old and new buildings, including bakery and great 5 rivers lookout. Comparing prices across the top end in season very reasonable at $40 a night for couple on a powered site and friendly helpful staff. We’ll be back.
