Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were their first guests in 2 months because of Covid-19 and even though we just turned up unannounced, Sharyn welcomed us warmly and everything was ready to go for us, which was really impressive given the long gap between guests. The bathrooms were clean and the park has plenty of space. LOVED the camp kitchen which had a telly and everything you need to put a meal together. Everywhere you looked it was really obvious that the owner genuinely cared about her guests and their comfort. This is even more appreciated when it’s the only real accommodation option in a place. Some would take advantage and hike up prices and skimp on service but not at this place- price was extremely reasonable and service was fab! Thanks Sharyn.

Pleasant CP located a short walk from town.
Plenty of shade trees and reasonably well grassed areas for caravans, camper trailers and tents.
Welcome reception from Manager
Pool, Camp kitchen etc.
Amenities are reasonably clean, fairly modern and up-to-date.
Helicopter landing ground adjacent, parking for larger vehicles available
$25 pn for a single person in caravan (with power & water) is comparatively good value for The Kimberly !

We stayed a few days a this nice little caravan park. It was quiet, with good powered sites. All with slabs and ample space.

The amenities were very clean and located close by.

We were pleasantly surprised to see the little shop onsite, and the notice board at the camp kitchen re: community events & ships arriving & departure at the Wyndham port - was very informative.

We also found the little black board at reception with the weather and tides very helpful and such a beautiful touch, once again not expected in such a remote location.

We would stay again and recommend it to others.

Thanks Sharon for your lovely friendly service. The world needs more people like you. 👏

The self contained cabin has everything you could ask for. The air conditioner runs well in the heat. The pool is a greta way to cool off too. There's a laundry for the campers too (needs 4 x $1 coins). The only word of advise is as the town has one shop, you're better off bringing your own food.

I think this is the best caravan park I have ever stayed. Beautifully kept grounds, well equiped kitchen, the largest boab in captivity, an honour system kiosk and welcoming hosts with a wealth of experience. We had orignally planned to only stay one night but it was too nice so stayed another. I could have stayed a week. Loved the gentle yoga with Wendy under the boab tree. A highlight of my Kimberly trip.

Stopover stay after doing the Gibb River Road. The owners of this park are wonderful especially the young daughter in the office who willingly catered for three different couples needs. Ablution block pristinely clean. Grounds shady. Very happy. Thank you.

Wyndham Caravan park a hidden gem. Large shady trees with green lawns , concrete pads, clean modern ablution block, swimming pool, excellent camp kitchen and safe. Wyndham abounds with history, interesting museum, old and new buildings, including bakery and great 5 rivers lookout. Comparing prices across the top end in season very reasonable at $40 a night for couple on a powered site and friendly helpful staff. We’ll be back.

We were fortunate to be able to camp alongside the ‘oldest Boab tree in captivity’, which is inside the park.
Whilst there, it was very quiet, really peaceful with lovely shady spots to camp in tents, caravans or motorhomes.
The shower and toilet block was very clean with lots of hot water.

A lovely spot in the far north of WA
