Amy, the property manager, at first seemed like a very nice and genuine person. Very helpful and understanding. However, after staying there for a total of 24 hrs, we had enough as things just weren't working out (at no fault of our own). These were the issue encountered in that one day: It was pet friendly (i confirmed and re confirmed this) but she told us to leave on day 2 because she couldn't handle our beagle not getting along with her 3 cats (despite the fact they kept attacking HIM). She also double booked the first night and we had to stay in her spare room but still paid the full rate. Once she finally arranged the guesthouse for us she didn't clean the bathrooms properly and left the fridge dirty. When i tactfully offered to clean the toilet she didn't hesitate to offer me a bucket with cleaning gear (instead of doing it herself!). She also decided she wasn't going to provide breakfast despite it being included in the tariff. She limited us to using the kitchen facilities to only at dinner time despite the fact I made sure it was available all day upon booking (we have a 16 month old on a special diet). She wasn't happy with previous guest using the kitchen so she told us we weren't allowed to use the facilities anymore. She promised me the guesthouse was entirely ours (5 bedrooms) and we will not share with anybody. Well, we were sharing with one lady 3 days a week and then a second lady was coming two weeks later! Not what we wanted or agreed upon! She lives there herself and the back deck is shared which is fine. What makes it unacceptable, she smoked in front of us despite the fact we are a non smoking family. She had no problems blowing the smoke into our son's face! All in all, the countless emails sent between Amy and myself prior to our arrival were a waste of time as pretty much everything turned out to be different once we actually got there. We were sincere and upfront with her, yet she failed to tell the truth on a number of occasions and had created nothing but drama for all of us. We apologise for any inconvenience that may have occurred with your stay at our guest house. The room was not double booked. At the time of there arrival there was a family group that were a little rowdy. I offered to them there first night stay in a alternative private guest suite, which is normally reserved for our executive guests. This is located on the other side of the house. As they had travelled across Australia, they were tired and had a toddler, I thought they would appreciate a quiet and peaceful nights sleep. We try to accommodate for all dietary needs wherever possible. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for special dietary needs without prior notice. We were only notified of this upon there arrival. As it is a 11 bedroom, 5 bathroom guesthouse and school holidays. All new enquiries are made aware if there are previous bookings for the period of there stay. This circumstance was no exception. We have three young children ourselves and we would take offence to anyone blowing smoke in any persons face. Soon as we realised we could not accommodate for all of there needs. We offered them the luxury holiday house in Mandurah at a heavily discounted rate. So as to try to help them settle into Western Australia more comfortably. We are truly sorry we were not able to tend to there requirements as they had expected. We try our very best to make all our guests feel extremely welcome and comfortable at all times.

Greeted by a lovely lady, Jill who was minding the B&B whilst the owner was away. The room was spacious and "olde world" Everything about the place was clean and inviting. Had the place to ourselves which was marvellous. Lovely lounge and Dining area. Great Breakfast which had as much as we wanted and all very nice. Air Conditioning made the place nice and warm. Was able to catch up on lack of Foxtel for previous 3 weeks. Would certainly recommend and the tariff is fair.
