Lazy River, a luxury romantic getaway, is less than one hour from Perth. Nestled within 5 acres of both landscaped gardens and mature native parkland this beautiful property has direct access to the Murray River in Pinjarra, Western Australia. This is no ordinary Bed and Breakfast as the accommodation is separate from the host's homestead, therefore ensuring guests complete privacy. An avenue of majestic spotted gums greets you on arrival and this leads down to the croquet lawn, tennis court and 100 meter wide stretch of the beautiful and tranquil Murray River. There are benches and tables by the river as well as a Jarrah jetty and small beach for launching the kayaks. This tranquil setting has now become home for an amazing variety of birds, including a flock of domestic guinea fowl. One of the main outstanding features of Lazy River is the unique gourmet experience you will enjoy. Steve is a vastly experienced and talented chef, offers three course which are served in your suite.

A truly stunning place with a taylor made experience that far exceeded any expectations. Its hard to imagine that set only a few miles from Perth city is the picturesque countryside town of Pinjarra, With its green meadows, gental rolling hills, all season slow moving rivers and lakes and the miles and miles of breathtaking jarrah wood forests. It truely felt alittle like being back at home in Wales UK at times. This area offers endless natural beauty to explore both on site at Lazy River or in the wider area and reserves all within a short drive. This location offers far more than a stunning location. The hosts Liz & Steve have created a truely magical slice of luxury for their guests located right on the bend of a beautiful river. The large rooms are super comfy, very clean and well kept and feature a king-size bed, sofa and TV area, large bathroom with both a shower and a very large spa bath for two. Your room opens up onto a beautiful wooden private balcony that overlooks the fields and hills behind. Your room is kitted out with a fridge and mini cooker and your breakfast is always layed out inside your fridge so you can awake at your leisure and eat breakfast in your PJs whenever you want on your own balcony (so no unwanted early starts or outside interactions until you've had your morning coffee and woke up). The room is equipped with a private drive way, full disability access throughout (from ramp walkway to safety handles in bathroom) all fitted functionally and discreetly and full duel action air-conditioning that works perfectly to keep you cool or warm. Onside these lovely hosts provide you with free access to a tennis court, croquet set and river kayak's (which you can take down to their river jetty to paddle off at explore). But, the absolute highlight of this whole experience is the food. Simply wow. Steve is a highly trained chef that personally makes you everything you eat, from the delicious little welcome platter on arrival, to the scrumptious home made breakfast quiche and pouched pears and the 3 course evening meal. Steve called us up a few days before our arrival to talk through our requests for our personally designed evening menu (which felt like such a wonderful touch of luxury). I personally have very high food standards and love to eat out in the best of restaurants, and Steve not only delivered but far exceeded any expectations. Any one of his courses would fit perfectly into any 5* French restaurant. Simply put, if Lazy River also had an onside restaurant i would happily travel there several times a year just for a meal. Liz and Steve, the hosts of this wonderful luxury riverside retreat offer a one of a kind, truly relaxing and stunning getaway. You could not ask for more. Whether your intentions are to hike around and explore or simply put your feet up and relax to candle lit bubble baths, this place has it all. So welcoming, so friendly, so peaceful so worth it. If I could give this place 6 Stars I would. Highly recommended. Excellent service. True luxury. Thank you both for making my quiet couples getaway birthday one I'll treasure forever. We will be back again for sure.

I booked one night at Lazy River via Booking.Com but realised too late that it would have been better to book direct with the venue. We don’t usually frequent B & Bs but were quickly swayed by the excellent reviews. What a good decision it was. The hosts Liz and Steve were genial and informative without being intrusive and they made our stay an event to remember. After arriving we helped ourselves to tea and delicious home made biscuits and then went kayaking on the river. All the equipment is provided by Lazy River and their stretch of the river was just so picturesque. We had the venue and the river to ourselves which was marvellous on both counts. Steve cooked us a delicious three course dinner delivered to our room where the table was carefully set as if we were dining at a bistro. Cream of Vegetable Soup, the most succulent Lamb Casserole and then Tarte Tartin. To say that we staggered to bed is an understatement. The bed was so comfy and the bathroom was marvellous. We both enjoyed the fabulous jacuzzi so were totally relaxed by the time we retired for the evening. Breakfast included cereals, toasts, croissants, muffins, cheese and ham, poached pears and yoghurt. You absolutely cannot leave this venue hungry. The icing on the cake was a marvellous white tail possum who visited our verandah while was watched. We had a marvellous stay and can confidently recommend the recommend the Lazy River to others.

After reading many reviews, we chose this location for our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. It is a wonderfully peaceful and beautiful location. We had Steve cook for us both nights and it has to be the best food that we have ever eaten, the food he serves comes straight from the heart and is just delicious. The canapes and hamper breakfast are so tasty and thoughtful. Using the kayaks provided for a gentle trip down the Murray River is highly recommended, we felt completely relaxed. The place has a rustic charm which is part of its delight. Liz and Steve are wonderful hosts and we cannot wait to return.

We arrived in the teeming rain but what better way to enjoy the cosy luxury of a fully self-contained suite? The two guest suites in the purpose-built guest wing on offer at Lazy River are separated by a large guest lounge so you have complete privacy and there's not whisper of sound from neighbouring rooms (there are actually 4 guest suites - 2 either side of the guest lounge - but owners Steve and Liz only use 2 at a time now which does afford maximum privacy). Foxtel in our room provided the perfect lazy, rainy afternoon entertainment and really there was no need to venture any further except to take a peek next door at the well-appointed guest lounge. If the weather had been more agreeable, there were multiple activities available and plenty to see and do in the surrounding area (as further set out in the information guide provided in our suite) but as we had already taken in the lovely town of Pinjarra with its wonderful Evandale Heritage Complex, we stayed tucked up in our suite! The luxury bathroom was huge, with a double vanity set in a wonderfully high bench with plenty of countertop space, spa bath, separate shower, an abundance of thick fluffy towels (the most generous we have seen!), excellent toiletries and cosy bathrobes to really feel like you're spoiled. The truly special thing about Lazy River are the bespoke, cooked to order and extraordinarily well-priced three course dinners prepared by Steve and served by Liz (both of whom trained at a prestigious Swiss hotel school). We spoke to Steve prior to our arrival to discuss and formalise our menu and tweaked it via email afterwards. Some of our breakfast was already placed in the refrigerator on our arrival and the rest was brought during dinner. There is a small toaster oven to heat the homemade quiche the following morning as well as tea and coffee facilities. Oh, and don't forget that oh-so-comfortable bed - heavenly!! Staying at Lazy River Boutique Bed & Breakfast is a truly unique and undeniably luxurious experience.

My friend and I stayed at Lazy River B and B for one wonderful night. Liz and Steve were warm and friendly hosts, the chalet was large and spacious, and the Food! The food was incredible. We also took the kayaks down to the river. Floating along on the water amongst the trees was a highlight. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants somewhere special to unwind.

My partner and I recently stayed at this unique B&B run by Steve and Liz. Their incredibly high standard of hospitality was only matched by Steve’s incredible culinary skill. We opted to have dinner provided by Steve and Liz both nights on the deck of our cabin lodge overlooking the sprawling treeline. Working busy innercity jobs this escape was the perfect remedy for our tech driven lives. Take some time out, have a spa, enjoy a kayak on the river and trust the Steve and Liz will have your every need catered for. Thanks for an amazing getaway Steve and Liz. We will definitely be back!

We only stayed at lazy river for one night but it was amazing. It is set in beautiful grounds and there are plenty of activities on offer such as golf walking or even kayaking on the river. Our hosts Liz and Steve were very friendly and even contacted us beforehand to see what we would like for dinner. Dinner was delivered to our chalet on a golf cart and the food was excellent. The possums came out in the evening and the garden was full of exotic birds early in the morning. What an idyllic way to spend our last day in Australia.

This B@B has it all. The owners have thought of absolutely everything that you could want in a B@B. The room is spacious with a lovely verandah overlooking the paddocks. The bathroom is also spacious with a double size spa bath. The breakfast that is included has a very generous variety of food. We also opted to have dinner in our room for an extra fee. Steve and Liz (the owners) set up a candlelight 3 course dinner for us. The food was absolutely impeccable. There are many activities to do on the property or only 5 minutes to Pinjarra or 15 minutes to Mandurah.

If you want to find a little oasis of peace, tranquility and warmth, come to the Lazy River Boutique BnB. My partner and I stayed the night over the weekend and it was one of the best getaways we've ever had. Hosts Steve and Liz are extremely wonderful and inviting, professional and genuine. We were greeted at the gate, shown our incredibly beautiful cabin, and ensured we were very welcomed. The location is stunning. From the back deck, it stretches across fields, which leads gently to the Murray River, with your secluded jetty. We spent a lot of time just sitting by the river, listening to the birds amidst the tranquility. The specially catered 3-course dinner for us prepared by Steve was gastronomical. Steve called us a few days before check-in to discuss our diet and preferences. It was very personable, and indeed very delicious. (Bring your own wine!) The room was very clean, well-decorated, inviting and cosy. Although themed more rustic wood (rose wood and jarrah) with an English cottage ambience, it was complemented with modern facilities. The bathroom is blessed with a gorgeous Jacuzzi bath which we thoroughly relished. The common room next door was another warmly welcoming space, with a mix of a Chesterfield, ornate French antique furnishings and other homely paraphernalia including a library, board games and DVDs. Lazy River is certainly a venue for anyone seeking to getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, chill out and be at one with nature, complemented by first class service and impeccable surroundings and accommodation. Thank you Steve and Liz for your kind hospitality. We hope to see you again! Cheers, Simon and Andrew

A large bedroom beautifully decorated with an African influence combined with an adjoining large ensuite containing a double sized spa greets the visitor looking for an easy getaway from Perth. At only a 1 hour drive out of Perth along the freeway, this is an easy establishment to reach, yet you could be in an equivalent accommodation 4 hours from the city. The breakfasts are plentiful but the real treat is the 3-course evening meal which you can order and have prepared to your specification. In our case, it was the absolute highlight of the visit and I would thoroughly encourage everyone to order the evening meal. Make sure you take your own quality wine to go with the high-quality meal you will receive
