Lazy River, a luxury romantic getaway, is less than one hour from Perth. Nestled within 5 acres of both landscaped gardens and mature native parkland this beautiful property has direct access to the Murray River in Pinjarra, Western Australia. This is no ordinary Bed and Breakfast as the accommodation is separate from the host's homestead, therefore ensuring guests complete privacy. An avenue of majestic spotted gums greets you on arrival and this leads down to the croquet lawn, tennis court and 100 meter wide stretch of the beautiful and tranquil Murray River. There are benches and tables by the river as well as a Jarrah jetty and small beach for launching the kayaks. This tranquil setting has now become home for an amazing variety of birds, including a flock of domestic guinea fowl. One of the main outstanding features of Lazy River is the unique gourmet experience you will enjoy. Steve is a vastly experienced and talented chef, offers three course which are served in your suite.

Detailed Reviews
After reading many reviews, we chose this location for our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. It is a wonderfully peaceful and beautiful location. We had Steve cook for us both nights and it has to be the best food that we have ever eaten, the food he serves comes straight from the heart and is just delicious. The canapes and hamper breakfast are so tasty and thoughtful. Using the kayaks provided for a gentle trip down the Murray River is highly recommended, we felt completely relaxed. The place has a rustic charm which is part of its delight. Liz and Steve are wonderful hosts and we cannot wait to return.

We only stayed at lazy river for one night but it was amazing. It is set in beautiful grounds and there are plenty of activities on offer such as golf walking or even kayaking on the river. Our hosts Liz and Steve were very friendly and even contacted us beforehand to see what we would like for dinner. Dinner was delivered to our chalet on a golf cart and the food was excellent. The possums came out in the evening and the garden was full of exotic birds early in the morning. What an idyllic way to spend our last day in Australia.

My partner and I recently stayed at this unique B&B run by Steve and Liz. Their incredibly high standard of hospitality was only matched by Steve’s incredible culinary skill.
We opted to have dinner provided by Steve and Liz both nights on the deck of our cabin lodge overlooking the sprawling treeline.
Working busy innercity jobs this escape was the perfect remedy for our tech driven lives.
Take some time out, have a spa, enjoy a kayak on the river and trust the Steve and Liz will have your every need catered for.
Thanks for an amazing getaway Steve and Liz. We will definitely be back!

I booked one night at Lazy River via Booking.Com but realised too late that it would have been better to book direct with the venue. We don’t usually frequent B & Bs but were quickly swayed by the excellent reviews.
What a good decision it was. The hosts Liz and Steve were genial and informative without being intrusive and they made our stay an event to remember.
After arriving we helped ourselves to tea and delicious home made biscuits and then went kayaking on the river. All the equipment is provided by Lazy River and their stretch of the river was just so picturesque. We had the venue and the river to ourselves which was marvellous on both counts.
Steve cooked us a delicious three course dinner delivered to our room where the table was carefully set as if we were dining at a bistro.
Cream of Vegetable Soup, the most succulent Lamb Casserole and then Tarte Tartin. To say that we staggered to bed is an understatement.
The bed was so comfy and the bathroom was marvellous. We both enjoyed the fabulous jacuzzi so were totally relaxed by the time we retired for the evening.
Breakfast included cereals, toasts, croissants, muffins, cheese and ham, poached pears and yoghurt. You absolutely cannot leave this venue hungry.
The icing on the cake was a marvellous white tail possum who visited our verandah while was watched.
We had a marvellous stay and can confidently recommend the recommend the Lazy River to others.

My friend and I stayed at Lazy River B and B for one wonderful night. Liz and Steve were warm and friendly hosts, the chalet was large and spacious, and the Food! The food was incredible. We also took the kayaks down to the river. Floating along on the water amongst the trees was a highlight. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants somewhere special to unwind.

After visiting as a couple we chose Lazy River as the place to celebrate some big family birthdays. We booked three rooms for 3 couples and we had a great weekend. As usual, Liz and Steve made us all feel really welcome and both nights put on great canapes with our complimentary sparkling wine. For the second night Steve cooked us a wonderful birthday dinner, and the food was his usual high standard. Everyone loved the meal and we all walked away from the table very full and very satisfied. The great thing about choosing Lazy River for a group visit is that there is a large dining/lounge room between the suites for use. We spent our afternoon in the rain here playing cards, and spent our evenings together here in this lovely room.
We can't forget our two paddles on the river, which is always a highlight of staying here.

A large bedroom beautifully decorated with an African influence combined with an adjoining large ensuite containing a double sized spa greets the visitor looking for an easy getaway from Perth. At only a 1 hour drive out of Perth along the freeway, this is an easy establishment to reach, yet you could be in an equivalent accommodation 4 hours from the city.
The breakfasts are plentiful but the real treat is the 3-course evening meal which you can order and have prepared to your specification. In our case, it was the absolute highlight of the visit and I would thoroughly encourage everyone to order the evening meal. Make sure you take your own quality wine to go with the high-quality meal you will receive

We had an excellent experience at Lazy River with our friendly hosts taking care of all the elements for visitors - exceptionally comfortable bed, spacious bed-sitting room with kitchen facilities, good bathroom and delicious food. There was a great welcome and lots of advice about the locality. Sundowners -with champagne and canapés served on our Room's verandah- were a special treat.
We chose to stay here because it is near Perth for access to the airport at the end of a trip. We found the nearby town to be quiet, the property is between the town and the countryside and also near beaches. We would return because of the great hospitality of Liz and Steve.

My partner and I look at all accomodations available in mandurah and made reservations at another hotel, however we found the Lazy River Botique Bed and Breakfast and decided to book there instead as they had a spa which was the main feature we wanted.
We were unable to use the other activities as we had a friends birthday in mandurah that afternoon/night.
When we arrived at the room we turned on the spa to allow it to fill up, we then turned on the jets after waiting 30mins to see alot of black plastic looking dirt come out of the jets and go all through the water.
The milk for breakfast was also in an old jar with no used by date or no detail of what type of milk it was so by then we were put off wanting to try it. We also couldnt sleep at night due to possums in the roof.
When we complained in the morning we were told "that spa was cleaned 2 weeks ago" which didnt sound nice at all, especially as we were in the spa before we turned the jets on. We were not offered any money back or anything, just an apology and told that it must have been disappointing.

Thank you for taking the trouble to write a review. We are however very disappointed that your stay didn't come up to expectations, a bit of a shock for us as this is the first experience we have had of disappointed guests in our 6 years of operation! We do regularly clean the spas so it was even more of a surprise that your spa had this problem. We have, however, now taken steps to make sure this never happens again and infact have a representative from Diversey Spa products coming to visit us today to inspect all the spas and make sure we have the correct cleaning products. It was a pity you didn't alert us of the problem at the time as we could easily have offered a solution as the spa next door to you was available and you could have made use of that spa, but we weren't told until you checked out. We choose to put the milk into nice glass bottle containers instead of the plastic shop containers as we think this is a nicer way of presenting it. We were sorry you didn't take up our invitation of using the facilities the next day and taking a picnic and going kayaking as we are sure you would have enjoyed that experience.
