Recommend you avoid this motel unless you have no choice for a place to stay. This is a tired and grubby motel with rude and particularly unhelpful staff. Having said that it’s probably OK if your expectations are low and nothing goes amiss. If something goes wrong however, they don’t want to know you and you will have a fight on your hands getting a remedy. On a recent trip to WA we originally booked one night for the trip over and one on the way back. Thanks to the WA border closing we had to reschedule our plans. As the lockdown was an unknown, we cancelled both bookings. We emailed the motel to cancel, but there was no response. We then tried the ‘contact us’ page on their web page, and again, no response. We then called the motel and got a voice mail message, but the call was retuned some hours later. It was agreed that our bookings would be cancelled and a refund paid. A month later and no refund. When a subsequent application to enter WA was approved, we rebooked on the basis the cancellations were accepted and a refund would be paid. When we mentioned the cancellation and the agreed refund to reception on 23 June the receptionist did not want to know about the cancellation and could not care less about the failure to refund. She was very defensive, irrational and rude. Her behaviour was particularly offensive. The failure to deliver the promised refund has left a very sour taste for this establishment and we will not be staying there again. The refund did not arise until a judgement order in a Court was threatened – the refund was within 24 hours. The facilities are basic, with the standard rooms being much like a donga with an ensuite. The room on the trip over had a peculiar smell about it but was otherwise OK – bear in mind our expectations for a three star motel were low. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every noise and conversation from the next room. While the room was reasonably well serviced, the carpet in the room on the return trip was filthy and worn out. On the trip over the dining room was pretty average – the overpriced meal was not bad enough to complain about but wasn’t good enough to make us come back. On the trip back the meals were better but still nothing to write home about. The bar list had may items that were not stocked. It was pretty disappointing - we have had better meals in service station cafes at a much better price. While the other staff members we encountered were OK, the particularly offensive behaviour by the receptionist tainted the whole experience. For this reason, the motel is one to avoid.

As others say, its a fairly typical regional motel in WA, nothing special at all, just a bed and hot shower for the night. I stayed there for multiple nights for work earlier this year. The best part is the restaurant, the dinner chef is very good and his food excellent. You can wait up to 45mins, but normally 15-20mins, which isn't terrible. Breakfast is pretty ordinary, the staff aren't always keen to cook you brekkie (for $15) and the other options aren't exciting, just Nescafe, weetbix, coco pops and toast. The toast and coffee table is right under the stairs, with dirt and dust dropping on everything. Better bring your own if you're there for the night. The rooms are 35 years old, best part is the rammed earth walls; very well insulated between the rooms thankfully. The beds are reasonably comfy and theres extra blankets. Theres a small table and chairs, fridge and kettle with tea/coffee, but nothing else. Even a tea towel would be nice, or a hook to hang stuff. I stayed in two different rooms there, one of them the reverse cycle didn't work, it was probably 30+ years old, also the blankets were dirty and 30 years old too. The TVs worked, one of them actually had Netflix built in. Bathrooms were ok, hot water was slow to come but eventually it did. Just showing sign of ageing and dirt. Mosquitoes breeding in the room too. The worst thing is the service, aka Fawlty Towers, as others say. Makes me laugh in hindsight thinking about it, not many countries could a business stay viable with staff acting like you are the fortunate one to be receiving their time. Even though our company paid full cost for us over several nights, they never cleaned the room, just emptied the rubbish once. I had to ask twice for basic things like toilet paper (forget fresh towels and sheets) and they actually left my door open once all day. I did lose 1 or 2 small things from my room, nothing too costly but Im sure the staff nicked or threw them away. Floor never vacuumed and at the end of our stay, it felt like we were living in poverty. Ask anything of the manager and you just get scowled at and made to feel guilty. The other staff are locals or backpackers, lot of young kids, they do their best, but the manager openly yells at them all in front of everyone. You really could make a TV mini-series from this place....Manuellll...hahaha! Also be aware, these motels are often full of workers drinking during the night and waking up at 4-5am starting diesel-engine vehicles and making a lot of noise. Doable for sure, just dont stay for more than a night, there is absolutely nothing to see in Norseman anyway, and keep your expectations very low in terms of service. Do go for dinner though.

This property is your typical 3 star regional motel offering a bed for the night. Nothing special but it does the job. The breakfast was very ordinary, not much choice. Dinner at night much the same. OK for a one night stay.

Lovely staff, beautiful location and clean. Wish I could have stayed more than one night. Thank you for your friendly hospitality for me and my service dog! We loved it! The location is excellent, there was no road noise in the room and you couldn’t hear the adjoining rooms. Very clean, good restaurant

We have tried many times via email and phone calls for a refund of $119.00 for the room that was charged twice on 19/02/2021. This needs to be refunded immediately please. You would have received the details for the refund via emails so would appreciate it being doing ASAP.
