Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

I do a lot of travel in the country and stay in lots of hotels with my work. The Oasis may have been that in it's day but time hasn't been kind. It appears that accommodation is not the focus of thus Tavern and drive-thru bottle shop business. The staff member booking me in was pleasant. The room is spacious, with a big wall mounted flat screen a good size for the room. The hotel had a mosquito problem with my outside door in them and as a result my room having quite a few too. The 3 spiders living in plain sight in the bathroom were keeping quite well fed on them! The linen and towels were also tired. The pillows were thin and uncomfortable. The old square wall mounted aircon while effective was noisey and had no thermostat so it was either quiet and hot or noisey and freezing. When I arrived in the room the fridge was off, pity if I had something to keep cool.

I stayed here on my way from Perth to Kalgoorlie, the price $129 for a room with a king bed which was comfy. the rest of the room was very out dated, the big screen TV was great though, the air-con/heater was noisy. the pillows were very thin, as I work in a motel I like to help out the cleaners so thought I would take the pillow-cases off wow the yellow stains nearly covered the whole pillow, two pillows had protectors two didn't it didn't matter any-way because the protectors had stains as well.

I arrived late to the hotel, and missed the entrance. The staff were friendly on check in and I found the rooms were comfortable and large in size. The hotel is still basically a modernized 1970’s hotel, with the updated rooms and bathrooms. Opening windows and and layout still seem to be based in the 1970’s. Overall I found the stay was nice and comfortable, no fuss, easy check in and friend staff. Downside is no restaurant, it is a little on the pricey side for the age/style/facilities of the hotel and you may miss it the first time past.

Don't make my mistake and rock up to Merredin , expecting to find a huge choice of motel rooms ..... Apparently they are ALWAYS busy during the early part of the week .... conveniently located sorta half way to Kalgoorlie , and a hub for Mukinbudin , Bruce Rock , Quairading etc
The room at the Oasis was very nice and came at a price of $139 .... a little expensive , but , it was all that was left of the recommended establishments
Nicely appointed , large comfy bed , very adequate heating
Reception was a joy , smiley and willing to help
The motel restaurant / bar , was not open .. and I'm not sure how often that is the case .... for a hilarious , but frustrating night of dining , try the Commercial .. if you dare !
Room was very clean , with a ridiculously large bathroom and 'ante room'
All good 😊

After a long drive heading back to Perth this was a comfy place to stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable which were our only prerequisites. Unfortunately the pool was closed when we were there. And they didn't have a restaurant in operation either. Both would have been a welcome addition. The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful.

We rolled up and reception was vacant. We pressed the bell and someone magically appeared. He couldn’t actually help us but arranged for someone who could to attend to us. She was friendly and helpful. We ended up with a nice enough room. Clean, spacious and no serious noise from the highway due to the noise from the airconditioner, which was not outrageously noisy, but typical of those older style wall-mounted. We were tired enough to sleep through it. The bed was nice and firm. It wasn’t a problem to have our dog with us, as long as he didn’t come in to the room, so they might reasonably be classified as quite dog-friendly. We would happily stay again.
