A good-sized clean room (no 39) with a view to a little patch of garden. Nice location in Esperance and very friendly staff. The room was very cold. The heater was broken and rusty. See pictures. Management was aware of the condition and had not changed it due to cost saving. They kindly offered that we could move to another room however we could not be bothered packing and unpacking again. This Comfort In has a fabulous in-house restaurant - Eljays. A visit is a must.

The motel is located on the sea front and is within easy walking distance to everything in Esperance. We stayed for 3 nights. It was quiet, clean and comfortable.
PROs:
1. Onsite restaurant/bar - lots of venues in Esperance are closed Sunday to Wednesday due to lack of staff. Eljays restaurant was one of few open on a Monday/Tuesday. We enjoyed a nice a la carte meal there. Cocktails are very good too! Staff were very busy, but very professional.
2. Water pressure was excellent - showering was a pleasure. Showers have a curtain & do not have a sill, so allow easy access for anyone with mobility issues.
CONs:
1. The decor is firmly rooted in the 80s and could easily offend younger fashionistas.
2. Our queen mattress was comfortable but a bit too bouncy

Good motel, comfortable bed, spacious room and peaceful at night. However you can hear people talking outside at night and kids yelling early in the morning. Great location. Really friendly reception staff.
In our first morning we had a cooked breakfast but didn’t enjoy our dishes. The buffet/continental breakfast was included but was very poor in presentation and replacement that we ended up not eating anything from there. In our second morning we had breakfast somewhere else.
The Eljays restaurant on site serves good dinner. We recommend it.

Room was fine for a couple of nights. No issues with parking right outside our room. Had a really good evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfasts were huge. The laundry facilities were much appreciated and the staff were very helpful and friendly especially the waitress in the dining room (sorry, can't remember her name).

Recently stayed here for work, kitchen door right in front of room 8 doors. Door banging all night, chefs radio blasting. Asked at reception to be moved due to work hours and length of stay, told impossible will talk to manager about the music, nothing happened. Talked to the waiter and nothing happened. Knocked on the chefs door and he said no worries, no one has said anything will do tonight....and that’s all it was, one night of quiet. Will not stay here again or recommend any of my work colleagues to stay here. Restraunt breakfast was average, was meant to be until 9 am, went at 8.30 and everything was packed away.

Response from JeffD2843, General Manager at Comfort Inn Bay of Isles

I sincerely apologise for your negative experience at the motel. The rooms behind the kitchen are very noisy and it is very unfortunate you were placed there, considering you had to work and the length of your stay. It you do decide to give us another chance, make sure you request a quieter location and we will do everything to look after you! Humble apologies again.

We were lucky to find accommodation on the long weekend. Good location to walk into the town centre. The room was a good size, bathroom & especially the toilet could have been cleaner. Receptionist very pleasant when checking in. Unfortunately our room was near the kitchen which made for a lot of noise in the early morning & at night. We reported the noise issue & were advised it would be addressed & if it was it made no difference, the noise continued. There was also a workman who was extremely noisy working & also talking to staff & on his phone.

Overall we had a nice stay in a clean and small room. However, from description we expected a nicer place. The room was called superior and was basic, not sure what a basic room there is. Also, I don’t expect a superior room facing the street. What defines a kitchenette, from our view not only fridge, microwave and kettle as u usually find kettle and fridge in every room.
The pool was dirty and cold, didn’t go in, also no towels for the pool on offer. So seems the brand ‘comfort inn’ and everything is misleading.

This was the worst motel I’ve ever been to. The room had no window to the front. The back window was a patio door which led in to an alleyway which was dark so we had to have the light on and meant we had to close the curtains so no one could see in. It was like the black hole of Calcutta!
We couldn’t change the room as the place was fully booked. I booked this in November! So I didn’t get what was arguably the worst place in the motel.
The shower made a horrendous noise when turned on.
Anyone booking this place please demand they don’t get room 12, 13 or 14!
I will not recommend this “Comfort Inn “ to anyone.it is NOT COMFORTABLE.

Arrived here pleasant greeting at reception the rooms very good. As for dining in this evening at ELJAYS restaurant ordered the seafood chowder (M) what I thought would be a main, dissapointed to say the least.
If you are going to charge $39.00 for a small entree sized dish and 2 slices of bread
I would hate to think of the dish size served up as an entree.
I took it up with the general manager and in his defense he offered me another meal and a drink to which I declined. Not in the mood after a dissapointing dine in @ Eljays....

What a pleasant surprise this accommodation has been. Far surpassed our expectations.
The family room has a QS and large single bed. Very comfortable, good bedding with pillow choices plus extra blankets if needed.
Great bathroom with bath and shower with great hot water supply. Jug, toaster and microwave plus frig. Daily room service too - bonus!
We went to Bandy Creek Harbour beach where there is great sand, shallow water for the little one to play, toilet and shower plus a fish processing shop where we bought great fish to take home. So many beaches and bays to visit and places to go, shop and eat plus lots of fishing gear shops.
We also visited Stone Henge which was interesting and good value and has lots of info plus a shop.
