Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Do your due diligence when booking here, there are 2 different apartment types. We thought we had booked the sea front apartment but actually got the budget ones. Tired looking, bed creaks every time you move, one fork, one wine glass, next to a main road. Would never return again

I was unexpectedly charged $150 post-stay, as the neighbor claimed to have witnessed dog waste. Despite my denial, he assumed I had a dog and levied the charge. He took advantage of the fact that a was a young stranger in Australia to deduct me some money which I don’t appreciate at all. While the hotel's location is great, transparency is crucial. When I suggested checking the cameras, he refused and abruptly ended the conversation

They charged us 150$ extra because of some «  dog poo » left in the room. Knowing that we do not have a dog and are SCARED of them. We left the room in a very good condition, we’ve put all the dirty linen together and cleaned the kitchen area. I don’t understand how they charge us 150$ for doing their job and cleaning the room? They say they have “ witnesses “ saying we had a dog but they don’t even take the time to have a look at the security cameras. It is too easy to steal from people especially travellers. I am very disappointed in this hotel and especially in the lack of professionalism. If they wanna charge anything they should’ve checked the room immediately when we were checking out, and tell us about those “ witnesses “

The photos from this place are somewhat misleading, they don't show the actual view from the "pool-view" rooms, which is of the small pool but also the back of a hotel block, a carpark and the laundry/admin building. I didn't like the feel of this place much, it had an uncared-for feeling. The kitchen is tiny and very dated. The pool isn't heated although it is advertised to be. The seaview rooms may be ok but they face a busy road and would get headlights coming in every time a car enters the underground carpark. I asked about an upgrade from room 17 to a seaview (which I would have paid for) and they said the manager would call in ten minutes, it is 6 weeks later and I am still awaiting that call!

Absolutely lovely new owner. He has such a wonderful and warm nature and is keen to ensure his customers are happy and well looked after. Exceptionally clean and comfortable- loved the spa bath and the views are the best! We loved being out on the balcony watching the world go by. Also opposite the best coffee spot in town. Highly recommend this accommodation!

After a long drive from Kalgoorlie and not many stops along the way, we got to this resort and went to reception. We were greeted with "oh you're early", (it was 1.20 and check in was 2pm) and that we would need to wait as receptionist had stepped out. Husband and I both needed the toilet (we could have stopped off on the road but decided we were nearly at our destination) so we asked to use the bathroom. We were told they didn't have a public bathroom and we would need to wait until we were in the room. We decided to upgrade to an ocean view room with spa. It was only an extra $65 so we thought why not. The room was very cold and basic. The tiny balcony was unusable for two people and dirty. You can hardly call it a kitchen as there was only a microwave, fridge, crockery and sink. There was a big sign saying wash your dishes before you leave. The main door had a huge gap at the bottom letting in a lot of cold air. We were extremely disappointed to discover blankets on the bed. In this day and age? I was also surprised the next day when we saw the open linen cupboard in the corridor had lots of clean towels but not a lot of clean blankets. Are they getting changed after every guest? I can't prove it, but husband and I both ended up with scabies after our visit, which is something I wouldn't wish on my mortal enemy. The spa bath was tiny, stained and downright dangerous to get in and out of, which you had to in order to shower. The spa bath (not that we would want to use it) was only permitted between 9am and 9pm due to the noise of it. Talking about noise. You can hear everything through the paper-thin walls. The room upstairs sounded as if it had a hoard of baby elephants living in it. You can hear people talking, using the shower and even.....using the bathroom. You can hear every coming and going on the external stairs outside the front door also. The bedroom had no ceiling fans or aircon and you needed to keep the bedroom door open to allow the RCAC unit from the living room to work. There was a paltry offering of shampoo/conditioner and shower gel. Three tiny little tubes. There was also an antiquated hairdryer attached to the wall, if you needed three days to dry your hair. There was no lamp in the living room only a big glaring ceiling light. On the 2nd night, the TV didn't work when we returned to our room after a meal in town. Reception was a good walk away at the front of the resort and no phones in room to call, so we decided just to go to bed. Considering what they are charging (it was way overpriced), I would have expected a lot more. We won't be returning to this facility and suggest you look elsewhere for accommodation in Esperance.

A pleasant clean and comfortable room. Staff were friendly and helpful. I appreciated the 600ml carton of milk on check in. The rooms could do with a standard size ironing board, the tiny one supplied wasn't adequate and as I was attending a funeral had to iron my clothes on a towel on the bed. The hand rails on the stairs are a bit short. We didn't use other facilities ie bbq area or pool but they looked nice. Nice location opposite Jetty and Esplanade. Enjoyed our 2 night stay in room upstairs at rear of complex.

Excellent staff, check in a breeze, our standard self contained room was more than expected. Plenty of room, sleeps three, full kitchen facilities, very clean, ample ensuite. Price was very reasonable. Will be back next time in Esperance.

Stayed in an Oceanview apartment for a week. Adjustments to our booking were easily made over the phone.Customer service was excellent. Clean and comfy beds. Theres a playground for the kids and a solar heated pool. Loved watching the sunrise from the balcony. There is also plenty of parking and theres a coffee shop and juice bar across the road by the beach. Will definitely stay there again

Small, very clean, pleasant place to park ourselves in Esperance for several days. Staff was very friendly, the rooms were kept spotlessly clean. The noise from the adjacent highway might be a factor for some, if you are staying in the motel section, but it generally stopped by nighttime; nonetheless, if you’re after a beach feel, the car noise might spoil it for you, so I would suggest booking one of the beachfront (or maybe pool?) rooms instead. Also, the establishment would be well served to install different bedside lighting, both so one person could read at night and the other has a better chance of sleeping (the current light situation is very bright, almost hospital surgery-like) and also for the overall ambience at night. The room was far too bright for my liking, but that’s an overall minor point for an otherwise excellent hotel!
