The camp ground is situated a few km out of the town centre.
The thing a liked about this camp ground was the grassy sites with plenty of mature trees providing natural shade. You don't feel like you're camping in a car park.
There are also a number of cottages on site available for hire.
The facilities are a little dated, but are well maintained and clean.
The down side is that it is located on a busy road so there is some traffic noise.

I've stayed here several times over the past few years and it's been OK but not great.
However on this visit, there is now a new management team in place and I can see the improvements and increased maintenance activity.
We had 2 cars, a caravan and a trailer but were slotted into a large site for the price of a single - which from experience isn't always the case.
If you're looking for grass, a good shower and a no fuss stop over before heading out to the east, I 'd recommend this park as a good base for the Esperance region.
I hope the new management team continues the general improvement and wish them well.

Stayed in powered on-site site. Shower water ran out of door and drainage drain flooded onto grass area. Toilet didn't flush one morning. No light globes inside out side the ensuite. Floor on an angle. Owner very kindly tried to fix the problems but this ensuite needs demolishing.
Another 2 guests arrived at 1.30am with a reversing beeper on the campervan that woke the camp. Then proceeded to turn the vehicle at 7am to change positions.
Only advantage to caravan park was a great place to discover the Esperance area.
Would suggest more maintenance on the property. Replace the ensuite we stayed in.

This place is disgusting! Once checking in we went to our cabin to our surprise there was no water. My partner went to reception advised the care taker (who is definitely over his job) who said that he had switched off the water system as one of the taps leak so he came up and turned it on.

First impressions it was dirty, dusty and smelt mouldy. The bathroom was so bad! The leaking tap must have been dripping for some time as the bathroom floor was rotting, the cabinet had swollen up from the water and the hinges were rusted. There was rust, mould and spider webs galore in the bathroom, which is super small and poky. You wouldn’t want to be a bigger person trying to use these facilities.

The cabin we were in the cladding on the outside was hanging off in places which I think our little nocturnal friends were getting in and making such a noise every single night! It sounded like possums and rats living up in the roof space. We advised the care taker who didn’t seem too interested.

My in-laws were staying in one of the en-suite caravan sites and durning their stay the bathroom light blew. They advised the care taker the next morning who said he would fix it right away. Once returning from our day trip it still hadn’t been done and once asked again he seemed very unimpressed that he had to go and change the globe.

So my advice is stay away from this place! It is way over priced, in extreme need for updating which the best option would be to probably knock the place down and rebuild. I think it’s well past being able to be renovated.

We are very sorry you are one of our guests who have had this sort of experience at this park. We recently sent senior managers to assess the situation at Pine Grove Holiday Park and this has lead to a change of staff at the park. We are confident that this change will lead to Pine Grove becoming the best it can be. Again, we apologise and wish you the best.

I booked for 7 adults in April and should have read the reviews. This cabin standard is below what I would expect for a dog boarding kennel. As for the cleanliness we found toenails and dried noodles in the bed see the photos we found a knife behind the bin and something was smelling behind the fridge. The oven looks like it was standard for the ark and it worked sometimes. All the bedding smelt mouldy and the mattress on the bunks were so thin that we all had trouble sleeping. Not worth the $200 a night we paid for this dump site.

Been here 1hr and half..
Me and my partner arrived late after camping 3 days in the bush.. all we wanted to have was a nice HOT shower and CLEAN kitchen to cook in to prepare our meal...

Shower was definitely NOT hot. Bathrooms dirty. Kitchen DIRTY and rusty amenities. No bin nothing.

Extremely unhappy as we are trying to save money as we are travelling we thought we would stop and treat ourselves and unfortunately ended up very disappointed.

We arrived early on a Monday afternoon and stayed for 3 nights. Ablutions were filthy and smelly and the laundry was extremely dirty and the washing machines stunk!
There is a cleaners trough, bilge area in the laundry, which was disgusting
Lots of dryer fluff and dirt all around the laundry area
Cleaners were seen on the Tuesday, but their commitment to cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired
The grounds are untidy, old cars and overgrown areas. Broken bricks and other rubble in places - even the supposed cricket net has a broken (not safe) frame and net. Barbecues dirty
We paid $38 per night for a powered site - the most expensive in Esperance, I think and it’s awful

Thank you for your feedback Lesley. This has been passed on to our staff at Pine Grove. As we have stated in previous responses to reviews, the park is in the middle of some big changes - we're going under new management. We hope that this change can make the park the best it can be, and that obviously includes making the place cleaner. Safe travels.

The place needs a good clean and upgrade. The host couple worked all day fixing and cleaning running around. The website needs to be down graded to what the facilities really are or park upgrade to it's original glory.

We had no choice but to put up for the four days and left a day earlier as we had enough. Smells and all facilities were so bad. Esperance was 100% and no where to go you feel trapped. We lost $210 as we could not stand it anymore

The Esperence visitors centre should not sell this property and double the price of all other caravan parks. Total. rip off

The Pool was filthy when we got there and some cleaning carried out whilst we were there

Then only time the Host Male showed any sort of service was when he fixed the washing machines as all of them were not working.

The shared kitchen and laundry was so run down and like from a third word country, You would expect the high end price of $70 per night something will go back to the upgrade

No customer service at all.

This was the third and last time we stay here. I can't believe how bad it has become in only a year.
The current manager is quite rude and doesn't seem to care much about customer service. The office is closed until 9am with no one answering the phone. There is no staff at all after lunch or on weekends, meaning the toilets and showers were rarely cleaned and disgusting. Very unhygienic. Bins were constantly overflowing also and stunk the place to high heaven.
We have booked into one of Esperances better caravan parks for next year.

There are two types of accommodation offerings in this world ... The first is a well maintained establishment, the other is a forgotten hovel, and I'm afraid this venue is very much the latter.
Whilst the owners/management seem friendly and welcoming, unfortunately the premises have been let go. They are in critical need of a major upgrade, a thorough cleaning, a new roadway and the development of a regular maintenance schedule.
It's fine to get defensive and just say that times have been tough through the COVID lockdowns, but that's no excuse to lose pride in such an investment. A bag of nails, a tin of paint and a couple of cleaning cloths wouldn't brake the bank.
Do yourself a favour ... If all of the other accommodation choices in town are booked, just keep driving.
