Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

You get what you pay for, if you are expecting 5 star accomodation at budget prices then this place is not for you. On the other hand, if you are on a limited budget and can overlook some minor issues (some clean sand occasionally coming through the very clean bore water used for showers, washing machines and washing up water) then in my opinion this is good value for money. Clean water for drinking, tea/coffee making etc is available from well maintained tanks with no signs of pollution.

Yes, the facilities are old, but kept very clean and tidy, especially the ablutions whether cabins or caravan/camping ablution area and had a nice clean smell about them. Oh by the way, the cleaner they use also cleans for a 5 star accomodation place in town and does an excellent job.

The owners are very, friendly and hard working and nothing is too much trouble for them, especially if you take the time to ask. I spent two days and nights in the camping area using the very well equipped and clean campers kitchen, and a further 6 days in one of the cabins. I enjoyed my stay there and also found the odd permanent residents I came across as vey helpful and friendly. I had no trouble sleeping in this very quiet and peaceful location, away from the traffic and noise.

Bear in mind that the existing swimming pool is no longer in use so is not an issue unless a pool is on your must have list. If this is the case, pay a much higher price and go elsewhere.

We were caught out and didn't book but they managed to squeeze us in at very late notice (930pm). We only found this caravan park by accident but will surely be recommending it to friends.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. All the facilities were kept clean and although old I found the facilities fine, if not better then more expensive caravan parks I have been to

No numbers on the sites or map of the park. The lovely lady who runs the place walks you to your site, which is "sort of level". We had a powered site which was not really level at all and we had to turn the water off after each short use because the tap thread was shonky and our hose continually blew off.

The ablution block needs updating, everything is very dated and/or broken. One of the ladies shower heads was broken, another had a tap that kept falling off and the third was just old. Water pressure was not good either.

Campers kitchen was basic, but large & tidy.

This place is quite basic & not for everyone, but it is quiet & relaxed.

$30 a night and it’s super clean with vans spaced right out. The camp kitchen is clean and offers detergent and the showers are hot.
Above all the owners are just so super nice.
It’s also so close to town and out of the wind of Esperance.

We arrived here on the recommendation of a friend here in Perth, they had visited a few years ago and told us "it's OK"

Didn't seem to bad on entrance other than the drive being a bit run down, booked in told to park in a spot, that wasn't too far from the front office.

Set up and nicked into town for some supply's

Got back , to find Staffordshire bull terrier pushing its head into our van, we had the slower Coker on so maybe the smell attracted it , with a women calling out or more likely scream out "STORM STORM STORM" which I assume was the dogs name as it eventually ran off.

Got the showers, a dirty horrible shower block , the first shower I got in barely dribbled as the lime scale had blocked the holes in the rose, got out of that one and into the one next door which was barely better for water flow. Along with clumps of hair on the walls and hanging about in the drain.

In the late afternoon, the dogs started backing , yes this park lets dogs in, great for some, but the incessant barking of what sounded like a very small dog and the whining and bark of a larger dog was driving me crazy. I decided to take a very careful walk to where I thought the noise of the dogs was coming from , and low and behold I found 3 dogs ( the staffs and 2 tiny white things) jammed in a small cage outside a permanent van, no one was about as I went by and assumed that the people here had gone out.

The barking continued for at least an hour.

Around dinner time the music coming from "up the hill" , I think maybe from where the dogs were or in that area, behind us was load and discusting, I'm not a wowser, but to hear expletive riddled rap songs belted out was a bit over the top. Along with the female up there, sitting outside talking so loud we could hear almost every word, along with screaming at her kids.

Had dinner, went to wash the dishes in our sink , turned on the tap, and got beautiful clear water for a second, followed by what looked like murky brown, it turned out to be sand, so much sand it covered the bottom of our sink, I went next door to the tap and turned it on into a bowl and got the same, so all the taps in the area had sand in the water, would, have been nice to know before I topped up out water tanks!!

Decided to go into town , got a motel, slept there, went back in the morning packed and left .

As I said "avoid avoid avoid"

Bathrooms disgusting, water in the shower comes through with sand in it! Camp kitchen a health hazard and the pool has been half filled with sand A swamp! The managers are lovely people but they are obviously unable to keep the maintenance up the whole park is more like a low cost housing estate with broken down buses and vans littering the place.

Worst night sleep for a long time!! The 1 bedroom cabin(?) was small and hot brick place in the middle of the sun. The bathroom is outside but next to the cabin and was very old and musty smelling. I had very very little sleep and left as soon as I could:(

Would never stay here again!!

Stayed one night on powered site mainly to do washing. Cheap tarrif as park is old. Only one washing machine working and one dryer but managed to get it done. Friendly managers and staff and camp kitchen facilities looked good although we didn't use them.
