Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a lovely little caravan park. The on-site caretaker Mark could not have been more helpful and inviting. Met us on arrival and showed us to our site. Even lent us an adapter for the night. Provided a basic insight into what to see and what options were available for dinner.
The bathroom facilities are basic but clean
The camp kitchen had all the basics as well. Toaster, kettle, fridge and there was also a BBQ area that is well maintained.
There are only a limited number of sites available so make sure you book ahead a pick which one suits best. Pets are allowed
It's location to town an beautiful waterfront view make it perfect for an overnight stay like us or a chance to reset (3 day minimum)

This is a lovely little caravan park run by the community with fabulous caretakers. You can only stay 3 nights and it is only open during the dry, it is across the road from a rocky beach and you can see the iron ore ships coming in to be loaded. We had fun meeting with some very friendly and helpful people. The park is clean and has good facilities and a great free library. Dampier is a cute little town with a free pick up and drop off the the pub for diner. We will definitely be back.

Good grass area for the campsites, allowing cars to be parked up along the side of the area. Clean ammenities, and wide range of appliances for food also available. All water drinkable an added bonus. Jane met us on arrival and made it all very easy for us to book onto a site at the last minute. Great friendly service, good value for money with good facilities to use. Will be back. Thank you.

The caravan park itself is pretty small and basic however they do have good bbq, shared kitchen and bathroom facilities and we would have definitely returned if it was not for the caretaker and his wife. When we arrived our friends dog had got off his lead and was having a stiff around and one of our kids needed the toilet so he wee'd on a bush. Instead of coming up to us and telling us nicely that awful woman yelled at us and all the children and told us we would be kicked out. She told u we had made an awful mess with tree bark and left candles out and had to clean it up. We didn't bring candles and bark had fallen of the tree and the kids were playing with it but it hardly deserved being abused for. She then accused us of making a mess of the ladies toilets however all our children were males so didn't use the ladies toilets so she said it was the wives that had made mess. (Someone had left some fruit peelings on the ground and the floors were really dirty but the site is on a dirt site ) but we got the blame for it and we were then yelled at again and told we weren't welcome back. If you want to go somewhere and you want your kids to ride scooters and play then this isn't the best place for you to stay unfortunately. Such a shame that nasty people ruined our nice little weekend getaway.

We arrived a bit early, evidently, and were harangued by the camp host. I had received an email the day before telling me what site we were on and had assumed (wrongly it seems) that we could go straight to our site (wrong again) When we drove in there was a 4WD and caravan filling up with water at the gate so we didn't see there was an office behind it with a message saying to wait till 12. We did eventually sort out with the camp host, but not before feeling really bad.
The site itself is good, excellent ablutions, good camp kitchen and views of the port. During the night we were kept awake a lot by the trains unloading - or at least that's what it sounded like. One night is ok and is very handy for Karratha.

This is a community 3 night stay. Small well kept peaceful great showers and across the street from the water. We had great evenings with fun people and the caretakers were very helpful. There is no water at the sites so you need to fill up on your way though the gate. The scenery around Dampier is beautiful

Across the road from the water, there are excellent views and sunsets observed from here: nights lights at the port also if that is your thing.

It is only a small caravan park so bookings are essential. It is run by the local community. Amenities are clean but limited in. Numbers. There are very good common areas. It is dry here: water is valuable and sites do not have water connections.

We en joyed our stay here and the fellow travellers present.

This is our second visit to this caravan park & it did not disappoint! A great place to base yourself & look around. Plenty to see in the region. - Red Dog, iron ore loading, gas plant info centre, Burrup, Hearsons Cove, etc. Great location opposite the ocean, clean amenities & good pricing. Recommend a visit to experience the Pilbara.

A tidy caravan park with most things one needs. Electricity, water (not beside van, but hey), dump point, Camp kitchen, laundry. Friendly and helpful caretaker. A nice walk along the foreshore to pub and restaurants. Good to watch sunsets there.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. The views over the harbour and learning all about the gas salt and iron ore export is fascinating. The volunteers who run the park are friendly and lovely people. Really feel for them as check in Clearly states 12 noon and people rock up at 9am demanding to checkin. They need to get their chores done!!!
We ate dinner at the sailing club excellent meal with music. Yes it is red dirt outside but we are in the Pilbara. Good on your volunteers running this park.
