We are family of four and we booked a king room to stay at this hotel for our first skiing trip in Mt Buller. The location of this hotel is perfect, just short walking distance from the coach / bus station. It is also right in the middle of the Mt Buller village, so it is very easy to go to ski / snowboarding school, equipment hire shops, chair lifts , shuttle bus service etc. The restaurant in this hotel , esp the Black Cockatoo is fantastic. However, everything else in this hotel is very average , and to be honest with the price we paid, we certainly expect a bit more. The room is not very big, there is a Queen bed and a sofa that could turn into a sofa bed for the 4 of us. The beds and the pillows are extremely uncomfortable, the furnitures and the room deco are very dated. The walls between the rooms are very thin, as a result we could hear exactly what our next door were doing and saying, and we could even smell the food our next door neighbours brought into their room too …. We were being told that our room have view when we checked in, ends up our room was actually facing the carpark ( which was again very noisy), and the blinds in the room could not even be opened . We cannot find any switch to adjust the air conditioning in the room, so when it get a bit hot and stuffy , we have to open the window to let some cold air in.

Stayed in the Glacier Queen Studio and although it was expensive (stayed peak season last weekend of July $1760 for 2 nights) we felt like it was money well spent. Many other hotels in Mt Buller are very dated with poor facilities for a similar price point. This room is modern and spacious with comfortable furnishings. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a bar within the building, though guests do not get any priority for tables or bookings in the busy bar or restaurant. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

My Buller chalet was very welcoming the best thing about the trip was all the staff at mt Buller . The reception staff were particularly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble- also knowledgeable about the ski slopes and attractions. The pool / spa / sauna area was nice& warm , also the gym was quite adequate. Our king bed room had a very comfortable bed and linen , with sofa bed . We felt warm & cosy - ski in ski out was so good bro g close to the lifts , also ski hire was very good available at the chalet .

My family and I had our first ski/snow trip experience and decided on Mt Buller, with such a ripper of a snow season! Mt Buller Chalet Hotels, seemed convenient and decent. A family of 4, the room consisted of a king and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was “made” up but with no pillows and no top sheet! The shower was substandard and after a full day on the slopes, a nice shower would be awesome! It wasn’t meant to be. A word of warning, the rooms a very hot! There is no control over the heating! The staff were helpful and friendly.

If it didn’t have one of the best locations in mount buller I would say save your money. The room was very basic and run down. The crockery is chipped and poorly supplied. The servicing is minimal. I’m sure there are better options on the mountain for what we paid.

This accommodation is very convenient to the lifts and the ski hire staff are really good. Do not ever book a place on the fifth floor because you will end up hearing and listening to loud music all afternoon and evening with absolutely no peace. This fact should be mentioned when booking, as there is no sympathy at all when you mention this to reception.

Great spacious open plan room with beautiful views, lifts to rooms,PO PO Kitchen, Sports Centre- New gear all upgraded. Rooms and restaurants warm don’t need many jumpers just for outdoors. Big drying cupboard fit all wet ski clothes, staff helpful and friendly. Central to everything. Lovely to have spa after big day on slopes.

My sister & I shared a room here at the start of September. The hotel staff were so helpful and accommodating. The room was great, very clean. We used the spa (way too much chlorine!). We had breakfast there & the food was delicious & reasonably priced. We hired our ski gear and purchased our lift passes at the store in the hotel. The man that served us was outstanding (Josh I think his name is). Literally could walk out of the shop onto the bottom of Bourke street chair. Awesome location. Definitely plan on coming back next year

Stayed here for three nights to take advantage of some spring skiing. The room was spacious with a king bed and sofa bed. But with four people it ended up being a bit tight. It was great having the kitchenette to prepare some basic meals. The bathroom was clean and adequate, but looked a bit dated. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful when asked. We also hired skis from the ski shop in the hotel. Although the staff there were lovely and tried their best to be helpful, the quality and range of equipment was pretty poor (espcially the boots). They are run by buller sport and really don't provide a huge range of options for different feet. I wouldn't hire again with them in the future.

When we booked we requested a valley view and were told no problem due to minimal reservations. When we arrived all good rooms were taken, mind you we arrived an hour before 4pm check in. We were given room 513 which in the day time was great but once night fall came the music from the bar underneath was relentlessly. My husband went to complain but was told it was not their music so they had no control. You would think if i was your customer you would do whatever yiu could to keep us happy. We did asked to be moved but they only had executive rooms and we didn't fit the criteria. Overall ok stay at Mt Buller but would not stay at this hotel again. Will say, they have their own ski hire place and the staff there was tremendous. Nothing too much for them. Thank you
