We stayed here for the Brighter Days festival, the room we had was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, I had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was a good size as well. The accommodation had everything I needed, it’s an easy 2km walk into the town centre.
The buffet breakfast is also great value.

I rencly stayed at the Bright chalet for some working comitments.
Michael and his family run an extremly inviting service, nothing was to hard for him and his family inorder for us to be comfy and happy.
The resturant was of high quality and great range. The bus service was excellent for work requirements. If your looking to stay in a affordable comfy location just a short drive from MT Hotham i would not hesitaite recommending the Bright Chalet.
Thanks Michael for making us feel so welcome and relaxed.

My wife received the fax at work and we were hesitant but decided to book the two night stay with a note that we might book a third night. The night before we traveled, I decided to look for reviews and we nearly died of fright when we saw some of them. On arrival at the tree lined street, the Chalet stood tall and inviting, as were the ladies at reception. We were happily given our (family) room key, and went up to inspect. (Room 104) After a quick look around, we went back down to unload the car and booked the third night, the two storey room was that good. All meals were full of variety, eat like a pig or eat healthy. Your choice. Pool and kids activities were great and the views breathtaking. We don't like roughing it camping etc., and like to go 5 star. Although this wasn't the best or newest we have stayed at, it was nowhere near deserving of some of the reviews on this website. Also, many other couples and families we spoke to were having a wonderful time. The Bartletts.

I loved this place. I loved that it looked like a Swiss Chalet which you hope to see when visiting Alpine regions.
The room was a good side. I loved the retro decor. The grounds were lovely.
The staff were very helpful.
The breakfast was ample.
The location despite being on the main road leading to the ski slopes, was very quiet.
It was incredible value.
The added bonus was the ski shop next door which had long opening hours where you could hire your ski needs/toboggans/boots etc.

My wife and I have had a short break in Bright for 4 days over the weekend during which we stayed at the Bright Chalet, and our experience there is wonderful. The family room is well appointed and well made up. The hosts and staff are not just friendly but also helpful, giving us the impression that as if we are staying with a family. The continental breakfast included in the price is more than just the basic provisions. Examples: guests are provided with large varieties of cereals (including gluten free ones), yoghurts and bread to choose from. We also have had the opportunity to have dinner at the Chalet, in the form of a delicious buffet, including 2 main courses, four vegetable dishes and desserts. Both the quality and quantity are excellent. During our stay, there was a large group of senior citizens from Glen Waverley/Mount Waverley having a one-week stay there. We can see that they are also happy guests. By the way, the staff there even take the initiative of pre-arranging the tables with individual family name tags so that all guests know where to seat for breakfast and dinner. Also, there is a bar inside the very spacious restaurant. During Winter, guests can hire chain and ski equipment and use the shuttle bus services to the skiing venues.

We organised to have our team stay up in Bright and enjoy a Christmas in July-themed event at the Bright Chalet. I also stayed there for two nights.
I found the accommodation to be disappointing as at the very least you would expect that rooms would be checked prior to customer check-in to ensure all facilities were in working order. I was without a working tv for two nights and it was found to be an issue with the aerial which could not be fixed and the bedside lamps were not connected which required someone to physically move a heavy bedhead. The most disappointing aspect of these issues was the attitude of the front desk and lack of customer service.

We booked 2 nights in a family room but didn’t get to stay one night because there was a ‘Watch and Act’ for Bright that came through at 9pm on our first night. We could see smoke and thought it best to leave. There was no one on the front desk so we left keys in a drop off box. I called and explained the next morning and asked about some sort of refund but did not get one. On another note the pool was cloudy and small and the hotel was very run down for the price we paid. Never going back

Fantastic place to stay , right from the start with my phone call to the chalet , nothing less than a wonderful relaxing experience .
The garden and pool area is beautiful out the back , quiet and really not that busy considering this time of year .
My daughter and I enjoyed a lovely dinner on one of our nights there and were pleasantly surprised with the menu … our food was delicious!! Seeing the owner out talking with his customers was nice to see .
Our room was comfortable and clean . No complaints from us !!

After a long day in the car, arrived at Bright Chalet. First impressions from the street front was a little underwhelming......but were we in for a surprise. Whilst older, The Chalet surpassed every expectation my wife, my teenage boys or I had. From impeccable service, to spotlessly clean rooms, great food,
Wonderful surrounds, but most importantly, a warm welcoming atmosphere. Nothing we asked for or needed was too much trouble. In these difficult times, there attention to covid requirements put us at ease.
