This place is amazing, the owners have thought of everything, a lovely hamper full of goodies and views from every room including a spectacular bathroom. You wake up to the sounds of birds singing, and later in the day you may even see the Kangaroos jumping around. Only 6 kilometres from Bright, this place will not disappoint.

My husband and I stayed at Buckland Studio 4 for two nights as we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. To say it was an utterly romantic, relaxing and magical stay would be a complete understatement. As soon as we entered the luxurious studio we were gobsmacked by its beauty and warmth. It's styled so nicely, very well kept and just stunning in its design. The studio was cosy and warm due to the roaring fire that was put on in time for our arrival. The bathroom and huge double shower, with it's stunning view completely blew our mind. We walked through to the bedroom with its soft bedding and another stunning view. Finally, the kitchen and lounge are so well equipped we contemplated convincing the hosts to let us move into the studio forever! The views from both balconies, of Buckland Valley and Mt Buffalo, are unrivaled. We arrived to a gorgeous breakfast hamper waiting for us on the kitchen counter. There was also a big box of chocolates and bottle of local wine on the dining table; which Mel kindly helped me organise (at the last minute!) for our arrival! Mel and Dave were fantastic hosts who were so accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much and they provided tips regarding where to hire snow chains locally before we ventured up Mt Buffalo. We can't wait to come back and soak up the serene environment that the Studio sits on.

We booked pod 5 and where looking forward to staying after reading the good reviews, the view where nice and the pod felt comfortable, however the pod requires maintenance, the ceiling and walls have cracks, paint pealing off the roof, sliding door has gapes on each end and when lights are on in the evening insects enter the bathroom ceiling also requires attention body products provided where nice but we did not have shampoo a number of bottles of conditioner, the heating in the bedroom did not work even after having it on for two hours on 28 degrees it was still freezing, the gas fire place took a while to heat up but also found the split system in open lounge area took too long to heat up. I also went to use the washer/dryer machine which was useless took 4 hours to wash and dry clothes even after the machine finished clothes where left damp. The kitchen require bowls, tongs, large pots, baking trays for cooking as there was only the very basic kitchen items, also a couple of extra wine glass would have helped. Breakfast provisions where nice, cleaning requires attention hair on lounge cushions and in laundry and on the broom. I feel for the price paid to stay here maintenance und upgrading of appliance would make this a five star stay.

My new husband and I have just left our week long honeymoon at The Buckland Studios and we are already talking about our plans to return. We stayed in studio 2 which was beautifully appointed with everything we could need (recommend potentially staying in studio 5 if you want a full kitchen for a longer stay, but I really wanted the stunning wellness bathroom). The included breakfast hamper and ammenities were more than generous and I had fun whipping up cafe style breakfasts each morning. Mel and Dave made sure we had everything we needed and were only a message away to help or top up supplies. We opted to have treatments with Mel and her team and can honestly say they were some of the best massages/ facials we have had and the friendliness and welcoming vibe was an added highlight. The views from our studio were incredible and changed everyday with the weather. The Buckland is everything you could want in a luxury stay without being pretentious. A true home away from home. Thank you Mel & Dave we loved our stay and will be back.

Nice accommodation, with a great wood burning stove.
They would usually do a cooked breakfast, but due to the restrictions, the breakfast basked provided was perfectly satisfactory!

This was our 6th stay at The Buckland though the first with new owners, Dave and Melanie, and our first in Studio 5. So my comments are mainly to compare that studio with the others as it's very different. It's larger, more spacious, than the others - not that they're small by any means. But #5 has a more functional bathroom (eg water doesn't splash all over the floor around the shower) and there's a small laundry which was helpful as our stay was longer than a weekend. It's also at the end of the guest driveway, so no one drives past when you're sitting out on the balcony. But it's got all the amenities that make The Buckland special, including comfortable beds and lounge room; a BBQ on the balcony to prepare a meal of local trout from up the road at Harrietville while watching the sun set over Mt Buffalo. It's a little different than when Eddie and Sabine ran it. Melanie supplies a sumptuous set of breakfast supplies, rather than the hosts having a restaurant style breakfast, so interaction with other guests doesn't tend to happen now. That's fine by us and we understand the time commitment that Eddie put in to making breakfast every day! We didn't get to meet Melanie as she wasn't well during our visit, but we communicated well before and after our time there. We will definitely return for visit #7 in the not too distant future.

We absolutely loved our 3 nights in Studio 4. The space is so well organised, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom huge, and the kitchen is very well appointed with high quality tools. The breakfast is amazing (really, is was lunch!) and many thoughtful touches that set this Studio apart.We had planned to dine out in Bright but opted instead to cook and enjoy the stunning sunsets from the decks. The barbecue is new and the perfect couples size. We would definitely return to this little slice of paradise, (especially since we worked out how to chrome cast the smart TV without wifi and hotspot the laptops).

We spent 5 nights at the Buckland Studios and absolutely loved everything about this amazing place. The cabin was so beautiful and spotless, the view picturesque,. Surrounding areas were stunning also. The breakfast hamper supplied was so delicious and everything was provided you could possibly want. The owners Dave and Melany are so friendly and booking directly with them was very quick and efficient. Looking forward to returning to this wonderful place.

My husband found this awesome accommodation and I am so glad he did. We booked 2 nights and were totally blown away by the great views (we were in Studio 5) and how thoughtfully and tastefully the entire studio was designed. We loved exploring the region including trekking some of Mt Buffalo’s trails but ensured we were back by 4:30 each evening to enjoy the sunsets on our deck and the open areas of the paddocks along with the accompanying sounds of nature. Hats off to David and Melany who made us feel so welcome and provided us with everything we needed. We have already recommended this accommodation to some of our friends who are very envious of our photos!
