Picked this motel for a 3 night stay prior to Easter. We chose a 'premium executive' room which gives you a small porch/seating area facing the quiet tree lined street with a bit of sunshine in the mornings and afternoons. Great for an afternoon drink. The room was spotless, the bed etc was comfy. Hosted extremely well by Russell and Lynne, we could not fault the place. We opted for the $9 continental breakfast which is delivered the evening before and is fine. There is a toaster, fridge, microwave and basic crockery ect in the room which was also good. It's a short walk to most of the restaurants in town. Would pick it again without issue (as long as I could get a perm/exec room)

Very good location in a quiet street with a short walk to centre of town.
Room very dark with old furniture and stained carpet. Shower very hard to regulate temperature either very hot or cold. Comfortable beds but blankets very old and looked matted.
Our room looked like something out of the 1970’s. Numerous instructions/regulations posted around room and bathroom-certainly didn’t make us feel welcome.
Needs a refurbishment.
No housekeeping offered during our stay

Stayed for 3 nights and motel is situated within walking distance of shops, hotels, restaurants etc. Very pleasant rooms with quality furnishing and kitchenette facilities. The beds were excellent and the pillows were very comfortable. The shower was hot and had adequate adjustments and plenty of water. Highly recommended.

The pros: great location in the centre of town with walking distance to nearly everything you'd need for a great weekend, microwave, fridge, ample storage, confy bed and couch.

The cons: I was in Room 9.
There was an overpowering smell of damp on opening the door, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was useless for removing the steam created by the shower, and insufficient space to hang towels. The biggest issue was the tiling on the floor of the shower and the black mould.

The shower had a central square drain hole with the tiles having been cut on an angle to look nice. Much of the grout had crumbled away exposing sharp edges of the tiles. These tiles were unstable and actually moved when touched. It was unsafe to stand on and what if you cut your foot on a sharp cut edge of a tile with all that black mould?

I called the manager in to inspect the shower - he said the shower was perfectly clean as he'd cleaned it and while the tiles were moving there was no breakage. He also could not smell the damp and said there was no mould. He had previously told me this was a refurbished room! It needs to be redone!

I noticed also the hand basin gurgled badly as it drained. I could not access the wifi in my room, only outside my room or in the car park.
There was no servicng of the room due to the current Covid situation so guests had to go to Reception for fresh towels and replenishing of tea and coffee etc between the hours of 2 and 6pm. This is when the majority of people are out sightseeing - alternative hours should be available.

A great place to stay in Bright. Back from the main road, so very quite. Recently refurbished with new bathrooms. Not recommended for people who require wheelchair access as all rooms have front steps. Close to town center and walking trails.

Great location, friendly efficient staff, comfortable rooms, ample parking, basic amenities, quiet and clean. A motel that remains popular even though it clearly shows it's '60's origins especially in the bathrooms. Easy walking to the main drag, pubs, cafes, restaurants, bakeries and takeaways. Petrol station at the end of the street for convenience.

We booked as soon as lockdown release was announced, and promised a refurbished room. Not the case...Tucked away in a dark corner it was a trip back to the 70's. Old velvet covered chairs, a huge iron burn mark on the carpet, yellow bottle glass shower door. Look, it was clean, but underwhelming..room not serviced due to covid. The taps all leaked, and the bathroom door handle came off in our hands. Clearly needs more live and attention. Upside...close to centre of town..all walkable.

This motel was in a convenient location in central Bright. You walk out to amazing scenery with bunya pines and divine alpine view. Rooms are clean, simple, and have a small fridge , toaster and kettle. A small pool is out the front - a little cold for April! But in summer it would be great. The owners were absolutely lovely and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a balcony room that overlooked the festival we were attending. Walking distance from all shops and restaurants, free wi-fi and DVD hire. Staff were very kind and helpful. Very quiet which surprised us as the Inn was booked out that night.

No sorry there isn't a lift. There are about 10 steps. Maybe you could ask for assistance?
kerry s asked a question Mar 2015

Are there many stairs to the upstairs rooms & are they easy to carry lbags up & down ??
Answer from sabtis99
63 contributions31 helpful votes
Well there are approximately 10 steps and the staircase is wide enough for one person with luggage. Large and heavy suitcases(15kg +) could be awkward to lift up the stairs. As for going down, suitcase first then the person makes it a little safer. Hope this extra information was of help.
