Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The owners went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The units are very clean and comfortable and the drive into town is an easy 3mins. The pool and BBQ amenities were great. Laundry facilities are a bonus.

After getting our dates mixed up and arriving a day early at an extremely busy time, Tracy didn't hesitate to reassure us that she would try to sort something out. Quickly and effeciently she managed to reshuffle things and put us into Cottage 1, a delightful, spotlessly clean cosy cottage. Although it may be a little small for families, it was perfect for us. Dishwasher, full sized fridge (very handy for freezing some of the wonderful goodies we bought on our trip), hotplates and oven. The cottage and everything in it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It was set in 3 acres of perfectly manicured gardens, which were stunning with the autumn leaves. A swimming pool, heated spa, huge BBQ area, childrens playground and tennis court competed a perfect setting. We have alrady recommended Chestnut Tree to several of our friends. Thank you Tracy for a wonderful stay

We stayed for two nights during the Autumn Festival. The property is located approximately 1km from the town centre. On arrival you are greeted by beautifully maintained gardens including pool, heated spa, tennis court, undercover BBQ area and children’s playground. Our two bedroom apartment was surprisingly spacious, spotlessly clean and had really comfy beds. Everything you could wish for was provided including fully equipped kitchen, full-sized refrigerator, oven/cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, two televisions, comfortable seating, iron/ironing board, well equipped wardrobes, extra blankets, spa bath and lovely toiletries. We enjoyed a mulled wine beside the wood-fired BBQ at night and morning coffees in the sun on the balcony overlooking the spectacular Autumn colours. Tracy was lovely to deal with even offering early access to our apartment when she found out we were arriving earlier in the day. If you are wanting comfortable, clean accommodation to enjoy all Bright has to offer this is it! Highly recommend.

This is our second visit, but it will not be the last. The owners could not be more gracious and helpful. They live on site and it shows. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The accommodation is great for families, with everything you need on site. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, fully appointed kitchen, great wi-fi, good pool/spa, and did I mention the grounds! Finally, this region has to be one of the most beautiful in Victoria, with heaps to see and do.

We recently spent a week here because pretty much everywhere else in Bright was booked (interstate trips are obviously fraught at the moment so we delayed for more certainty). That fluke was to our benefit - Chestnut Tree was a delightful place to spend the week. About 2 km out of the middle of Bright it's eminently walkable if you're so inclined, or a five minute drive, but in exchange for that you get a manicured garden to enjoy, lawns and a playground to play with the kids, and even a tennis court and swimming pool (though we didn't use the last two). We ended up in a conjoined cottage - a bit further down the hill we couldn't really look at the mountains but had the garden to admire, but the cottage was very comfortable, a very usable kitchen, retained warmth well, and pretty enough in its own right. We'll definitely consider returning next time we're in Bright.

We stayed at this 4.5 Accredited accommodation and found everything we needed for our stay. Fully equipped kitchen, good range of kitchenware, coffee machine, spotlessly clean. The bonus was the great facilities including a pool, spa and tennis court. Very comfortable cottage and owners were quick to responding to our query.

We stayed two nights at Chestnut Tree and wished we could have stayed longer. Bright is a beautiful part of the world, but our accommodation made our experience. The apartment was clean and neat and had everything you need. The beds were so comfortable. The well maintained grounds were stunning. Finally our hosts were a pleasure to deal with - so accommodating. We will definitely be back.

Had a family reunion in Bright for 3 days . We booked all 10 cabins and had the resort to ourselves. This place is an easy 10 minute walk into town along Delaney ave. Views are brilliant and the resort gardens and grounds are excellent including pool, tennis and Bbq facilities undercover.Rooms are spacious and very clean. You won’t find better accommodation in Bright.Tracy and co are excellent hosts . Highly recommended for a relaxing few days

Stayed for a week with my husband and daughter in one of the cottages. The cottage is cute and has everything you need, though the air on did struggle on some of the hottest days. The gardens and pools are beautiful and wonderfully maintained.

Our family had never been to Bright before so we thought we would venture there for a short spring time stay. We chose Chestnut Tree Apartments and we weren’t disappointed. Great apartments with everything in a good quiet position just a few minutes drive from town. Tracey and Pete were great hosts always willing to help. Recommended to anybody wanting to stay in Bright.
