Detailed Reviews
The park provides ample shade, (although it’s rather dusty underfoot), and the amenities are spotless. Our allocated site was big enough to accommodate our large van, but with the awning up, there was no space for our car. As we had told the staff member when we booked that we had a larger caravan, we were surprised that we hadn’t been told where to park our car. Hence, we had to put it on an unoccupied site and keep an eye out for any incoming van. Once when we returned from a walk, one of the caravanners pointed out that their friends couldn’t get the site next to them because our car was in the way. We felt bad as it would never be our intention to inconvenience other holiday makers. This is a pleasant park, but not our preferred one in Bright, which couldn’t accommodate our dates on this trip. However, I would happily return under the same circumstances. It is just a 15 minute walk into Bright and certainly provides for all camping needs.

Response from Bright Caravan Park, Guest Services / Front Office at Tasman Holiday Parks - South Bright
Responded 16 Apr 2021
Thank you for staying with us. Our beautiful big trees make it hard for the grass to grow unfortunately. Apologies for the site issues, hopefully we can avoid this for you in the future. We look forward to having you back.

This is the second time we have stayed at this park, we had hoped to bring our caravan but with the COVID restrictions at the time of booking we opted for a cabin.
The cabin was basic, but well equipped clean and tidy and provided everything we needed.
The park is great for kids with a jumping pillow, playground and go karts to hire from reception. There is also a lovely looking pool, which would be great during the warmer months.
Fires pits are allowed and can be hired from reception, which was great as the nights were pretty chilly.
It’s a short walk into town from the park, which is handy as the town can be busy and car parks hard to find
We will definitely stay here again and would recommended to any families.

We have traveled Australia widely and seen a lot of good caravan parks and just a few that we felt were really great. Without doubt the Bright Pine Valley tourist park is in the really great group. There are lots of reasons we have loved our stay here over the last two weeks….. the friendly atmosphere, the attention to detail that we see in maintaining the park, the two pools, one especially child friendly and one quieter more sedate one. Oh yes, and there is a small coffee van at the side entrance that opens from 7am to 1pm and does great coffee and toasties. Lastly, the owners listen to feedback. Yes, really. We made a couple of observations and within a day both issues were fixed. You can’t ever be perfect but the way you respond to issues makes all the difference.

Absolutely horrible
Had the sites that backed on to the permanent residence. Night 1 got I trouble for 3 people talking past 10pm. Day 2 nearly had 2 kids taken out by a van as they were walking to the toilets. Caretaker of the park was sitting at the entrance of the men’s toilets after dark highly inappropriate for an adult to occupy that area after hours. Day 3 abused for driving too fast into the park (yes over the 8klm hr speed limit but not the accused speed to make the occupants of the vehicle to reach the roof of the car!) same night complained about music that has been loud and played since past 10pm (currently 1154pm) caretaker of the park wanted to start an argument with us for complaining about said noise after 10pm.
Do not recommend staying here! Over priced, not welcoming, facilities are well under average and the service and respect from staff is absolutely ridiculous.

I cannot believe how caravan parks can promote their accommodation and not deliver what we as customers expect. For the cost of accommodation and what we experienced it was a total disappointment, the lounge deserved to be at the tip, even with two cushions stacked on top of one another it was not worth sitting on, the curtains in one of the bedrooms were a disgrace, the basin in the bathroom was blocked and the pressure for hot water to come through was non existent. The new managers who had only been there for five days made the decision to put us into one of the newer cabins which we appreciated. But please, please, please, stop promoting accommodation as being great when it definitely does not pass muster.

We arrived in town for the Katy Perry concert, we walk in to reception to check in, the lady in reception doesn’t even ask how we are, she gets straight into lecturing us because we booked on booking.com (we did this because it was 9pm and we had 2 days to find accomodation for Katy Perry) and then she continued to tell us that if we had of rang her and booked directly through her then she would have “accommodated” us better. We then went to our room, we walk in, it is tiny. We paid $180 for 1 night for a tiny cabin, that I personally wouldn’t rent out to my worst enemy. The double bed was in the kitchen, the tv was over the double bed so even if the family wanted to watch tv we would have to all get in bed together, not ideal for a 24 year old and her mother-in-law, we then walked through, noticed a sign that says we would be charged and extra $50 if our dishes weren’t done and an extra $100 if the cabin wasn’t left clean. Kept walking through, the bunks are in the bathroom!! The bathroom sink would have literally been at my head. What the hell!? The toilet was that close to the bathroom door that you have to shuffle around the door just to close it and shuffle back. I know cabin bathrooms are small but that small?! We didn’t even end up staying the night, the beds were that uncomfortable, the cabin just didn’t feel homey at all, and reception lady was so rude. We left a note for the cleaners to let them know we left and nothing was used. Reception made it very very clear to us that she would not be refunding anything BEFORE we even got our keys, so she clearly knows how bad this room was. Bright is such a beautiful town and I will definitely be returning, however I will NOT be returning to this tourist park. $180 down the drain, and left disappointed that a local woman could treat visitors like this.

I am so sorry that your cabin was not up to your expectations. I am more sorry that you felt that I was rude. I was trying to explain that had you rang directly we may have been able to explain more about the cabin that you had booked. I do hope you return to Bright and enjoy your stay wherever that might be.

Before I start - note Bright is amazing, just don't stay here.
I rarely write reviews. Only if it is amazing or really crappy. This was worse than really crappy. Do not hire a Standard Cabin. In fact, if owners are willing to provide this level of accomodation, probably should't stay in one of the other options either.
The main thing was the beds. They were hard as a rock. After getting up I was tired and literally in pain. All of the other things I could look past, but just buy some better mattresses so people can at least get some decent sleep. Terrible service.
Other things. Very small (despite paying market rates). Old, I mean very old. Stumps gone, so floor shakes when noisy trucks go past. Blinds do not block light. TV kept cutting out due to no reception. Electricity cuts out guse if you have yhree things on at once. No Linen for bunks, expected to pay extra $20 per bunk.
It was the worst stay I have ever had, by far.

We booked one of the standard ensuite cabins for a single night stay. Cabin on the small side for a family of four if you're planning to hang out there but perfect as a place to crash. Owners/operators super friendly and accommodating and obviously take pride in what they do. Great caravan park for little kids with clean amenities and lots to do. Will be back.

We had an enjoyable stay however it was hard to look past the customer service I received on arrival. After travelling 4 hours to get there, I was berated by the receptionist about the booking system I used (Hotels.com), telling me never to book through it again! Very poor to be greeted like this.
When I queried further, she advised that none of the money stays in Oz. Clearly this park would be getting their share, and surely if the park doesn't wish to take bookings through this system, they have a choice! If this park wasn't on Hotels.com, I would have stayed elsewhere.
Highly recommend this staff member urgently undertakes customer service training so she doesn't turn others away, especially at the moment during tougher times of COVID-19.
Accommodation and facilities all good, clean, etc.
Great activities for the kids - jumping pillow, playground, pool.

Booked a powered ensuite site through G’day Parks. Their advertisement showed a lovely grassy site, perfect for pitching a tent on. The reality was a stoney, dusty, barren site with a faulty external power point. Very disappointing and false advertising.

Room Tip: Park now seems focussed on caravans, motorhomes, and cabins. No longer suitable for tents.
