Goldfield Holiday Units has direct river frontage onto the Ovens River along with Canyon Walk. The Rail Trail is also nearby. We are close to town approx 300 metres, an easy walk to cafes, shops restaurants. Set amongst spacious gardens, with many outdoor settings available for your use to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee, a relaxing drink, we also have a large undercover outdoor eating area is also available along with free BBQ's, Free Wi-Fi is provided. All our apartments are fully self-contained, with reverse cyle air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room for extra comfort, fridge, stove & microwave, leather lounges, all tastefully furnished and decorated. You can choose a couples only retreat in our boutique 1 bedroom apartment, ideal to celebrate your very own special occasion or just a quiet relaxing time away. Our spacious 2 bedroom apartments are suitable for 2 couples to spend time away together, the apartments are also family friendly accommodating up to 5 guests. Free parking is provided outside your apartment, upon arrival you may choose to park your car and not use it again for the length of your stay. Each apartment has their own designated car parking space. We are nearby to the Snowfield, Wineries, historical towns for an enjoyable day trip. Check in from 2pm unless prior arrangement is made, if arriving late advise resident owners and we will have your apartment nice and comfortable upon your arrival. Check out time 10 am.

We stayed for 4 nights in the newly renovated "boutique" apartment (I think the other units are a bit older) - had a wonderful stay. Really lovely apartment, with a well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and great shower! Amazing location right by the Ovens River with the river trail/ Canyon Walk running past. Easy to walk into the town for dinner and drinks. Sam and Marco were great hosts and really helpful. We hope to return again one day.

Very friendly host who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. When we arrived it was a cosy welcome as heat was already turned on. Very neat and tidy accomodation and it is very close ( walking distance ) to restaurants and shops . Beautiful scenery and trails to go for walk.

I highly recommend the Goldfield Holiday Units. It’s an easy stroll into town either via the main road or the path along the ovens river as parking in town on weekends is rather difficult. We were able to enjoy dinner and a few drinks without the issue of needing to drive back to our accommodation. Sam and Marco made you feel like a part of the family and have great knowledge of the area but most importantly, where to get a great coffee in town.

If you want the perfect spot in Bright by the Ovens River, Goldfields is the place. Beautiful and picturesque all year round. We come to Bright every year and can’t wait to stay at Goldfields. Sam and Marco are the perfect hosts, beautiful friendly couple. The apartment is always so clean, very roomy. Separate bedroom and lounge/kitchen area. A truly beautiful escape with the properties frontage on the Ovens River. Breakfast by the river, a stroll along Canyons walk and a few minutes into town. Can’t wait for our next stay. This is a very difficult one for me to review. The place is lovely and our room had been recently renovated. The issue was that we booked a SPA unit, and as part of the renovations 12 months ago, the SPA was removed. When we arrived we questioned the owners about this, and they said that they were trying to get Expedia to update their online booking and were very frustrated that it wasn't getting updated. The issue is that their own private website also listed our unit as still a SPA unit. The owners were kind enough to supply us with a free bottle of Red wine to us to apologise for our inconvenience which was nice. I have waited 4 weeks to post this review, and upon checking today, the unit is still listed on their personal website as a SPA unit. Very disappointing, because the apartment is lovely, but it is false advertising, and the website needs to be updated. If they can update their website, I would gladly give them a 5 star rating. …

If you want a beautiful spot for rest and relaxation Goldfields is the place. Charming hosts, spotless apartments and on the doorstep of the Ovens River. There are only 6 apartments with all facilities. 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette. Number 6 apartment has been totally refurbished in a very modern and stylish style. It has one bedroom, a kitchenette with all facilities and a huge bathroom with a rain shower It was a joy to stay there. We would thoroughly recommend the place for couples. A short stroll along the river will take you into the gorgeous village with quality shops, 2 hotels as well as a cinema and 2 supermarkets. Sam and Marco are lovely, very pleasant and accommodating hosts. The facilities were clean and to our standard. Good size fridge and freezer, coffee machine was included. Comfortable beds (new mattresses). The property’s large frontage, flows towards the river’s edge. A truly great escape with many trees and lawns. A five minute walk to town’s centre. Clean and comfortable self contained units. 5 minutes walk from town centre. Sam and Marco, the perfect hosts, eager to help and please. The property is located on the river bank and surrounded by beautiful large trees. A wonderful BBQ area. Miriam and Zed.

Samantha & Marco proprietors of Goldfields are what I call the epitome of hosts, nothing proved too much trouble for this pair and they were at our parties beck and call with advice on what to do and where to go. We had visitors from NSW and Victoria and Goldfields proved a very popular stay with a short walk into Bright central and/or the number of walks that were easily accessed. Situated right next to the river with plenty of space to stretch your legs or sit and read a book., Thank you Sam & Marco, we will be recommending to one and all to stay with you for their visit to your most beautiful area. Friendly, welcoming host, basic but comfortable unit, adequately equipped kitchen, and the location is excellent with the Ovens river just metres away. There is a walking path in both directions along the river. It's a lovely walk into the centre of town.
