Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Can’t imagine any better place to stay while visiting the Barossa Valley. It’s a beautiful property with world-class hospitality from Sophia and her team. The location is perfect and convenient to all of the wineries in the area. Sophia’s recommendations on wineries and very special places to dine were spot on. And the breakfasts that Maddie serves up are gourmet delights. Don’t miss this opportunity for a stay in paradise!

We had a lovely stay at Barossa House. Sophia is a warm and welcoming host and full of knowledge about the area. Beautiful breakfast provided in the morning and cosy rooms. Within walking distance to a few wineries/distilleries and a short cab ride from others. Would highly recommend.

Sofia and Leo are so friendly and helpful at this wonderful little B&B. The rooms are very clean comfortable and finished with lots of little personal touches. Our experience staying here was fantastic. The accommodation is conveniently situated with wineries within minutes walking distance. I would not hesitate in returning to stay here again in the future.

The Eucalyptus room was lovely and comfortable, and we appreciated the private, external access. The hostess, Sophia, was so friendly and helpful with recommendations, specific to our interests. The cooked breakfasts were delicious and filling, with gorgeous views over a nearby vineyard. We can highly recommend Barossa House...you won't be disappointed!

We had a four night stay here at Barossa house, our room was the front room overlooking the garden and was pleasant with a comfortable bed, it was tight in regard to the bathroom amenities. Daily breakfasts were had on the front veranda taking advantage of the lovely weather. Sophia was our gracious host, delightful & warm, a beautiful soul, she shared lots of interesting facts & info about where we should visit, she was spot on with it all. Barossa house is situated just out of town, (5 minute drive) but not a problem if you have a car.

My husband and I have recently stayed here for 4 nights. It was such a relaxing experience and so central to places in the Barossa, a great location. Sophia is an excellent hostess and looked after us so well. The room was so comfortable and quiet with lots of thoughtful touches.

We booked a single night’s stay to pay a last visit to the family before returning to the U.K. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and our host so very welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely return on our next visit and would love to have stayed for longer. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

We loved our stay at Barossa House. Perfect location, so close to eateries in Tanunda and local vineyards. We scored an upgrade from the Garden Room to the king bed suite - beautiful room. Private, quiet room despite being on the main road. Breakfast was amazing and set us up well for the full day of wine tasting and travel we had ahead. Just a one night stay but would book again without hesitation and stay longer if possible

This gorgeous 1920’s home has rooms for 4 couples. We were in the smallest room as the other rooms were booked when we decided to stay here. Regardless it was a lovely experience. Nestled amongst vineyards and close to many wonderful wine, food and gin experiences we can highly recommend a stay here. Sophia and Leo are enthusiastic about the area and their love and knowledge of the local community enhanced the stay. Sophia cooks a lovely breakfast (included) and the home maintains a lovely old world feel. Sophia’s lovely insights to the area made for a memorable stay. We were very comfortable during our four night stay and would happily visit again and encourage others to do so.

Sophia was the most terrific host, opening her home with wonderful European warmth, food and guidance. Barossa house is close to Tanunda and set in amongst the vines. Breakfasts were first class and we gained local insights which were invaluable. Will stay again.
